Just one question: why is everyone blurbing out the word God? Is it supposed to be some sort of swear now or....

Like "G-d"? Personally, it's actually a religious thing, because in my religion you're not supposed to write out G-d's name entirely if it's temporary, and I think that this does apply to the internet, too, because if all the quotes magically erase one day, then that would mean that G-d's name was also erased, and I don't feel comfortable with that...despite that fact that I'm actually an atheist and don't believe in the concept of "G-d." But, yeah--it's against some people's religions to write it out fully.

oh so its like a respect thing in there minds.. that cool i never heard of that before i looked it up and its not against there religion though its just somwthing they do outta respect so they dont disrespect him which i think is cool lol my fun facts for the day from you :)

Haha, yep. I was taught to not write G-d's name out, just because of the whole temporary thing, so I apply it virtually everywhere. Yeah.

ohh, okay, thanks for clearing that up! I was just really confused as to why some people didn't write out the name entirely. I'm not religious, so the only concept I've heard is "not using is name in vain" and I was guessing that only related to swearing and other things.Thanks(:

Religion is all bullsh*t anyways, 'specially Christianity. People should depend on themselves to find strength rather than looking for some old man in the sky whose existence hasn't been proved.

I agree with aspects of this, but that wasn't my point. If you have a viewpoint like that, I feel like it should be avoided, in addition having people who feel as though religion is the most important thing to them also avoid expressing their somewhat strong views. Just a thought.

I'm not asking you to abandon your love for G-d on any website, I just think that everyone should approach the topic with great care and a neutrally unbiased perspective. It would just stop so many controversies and I think that that would be a good thing.
