Whoa. That's bull.

I have a story. You can tell your friend if you think it'll help. If you don't, well, don't tell her. But anyway.

I used to cut myself, and at a time when I was still doing it there was a guy. We were just friends, but he had told me he liked me, even though I had just gone through a breakup so I didn't really want anything new. Anyway, he found out that I cut. He told me that it was stupid and if I didn't stop, he couldn't be friends with me. He didn't want to be friends with someone like that.
So we stopped being friends.
A couple months later, I began talking with my current boyfriend. He learned everything about me, including that I cut. He's the one who helped me stop.
When I let him see my scars for the first time, he kissed me and told me I was beautiful despite them.

No matter how many a**holes there are in this world, no matter how many of them you meet, no matter what they say to you, there will be that one person who loves you for who you are no matter what. No, it doesn't mean people aren't a**holes anymore. They still are, and it still hurts. But it's worth putting up with all of it and going through it when you meet that person who isn't.
