Saying "I would shoot you" absolutely defeats the purpose of this quote and makes YOU look like the here. I'm sorry, but if someone says "why couldn't I have gotten shot too" maybe do you think they feel so horrible that they wish it was them and not an innocent little child? Maybe do you think they lost a younger sibling or family member? It is rude of them if they were doing it to be funny, but I highly doubt in a situation like this anyone would be having a laugh. Maybe you shouldn't jump to conclusions, sweetie, because it just makes you sound like a hypocrite.

I would take what they said and since they have depression issues turn this into a positive quote saying "appreciate your parents now and everything around you. appreciate that you get to live when they don't." but if they were doing that to be funny that's really rude and I agree with you.

i highly doubt when someone says "i wish someone would shoot me" that they're joking. i know plenty of people who feel no reason to be on this earth, and they were probably thinking "why take the lives of the kids who still have a place here, rather than take me, who wants to die."

i think that if your making fun of that then your crazy. but i dont think they meant it in a funny way at all... even if they did then that doesn't mean you should threaten them. Everybody has their own opinions and you shouldnt be threatening anybodys lives. Just my opinion sorry if it offends you

Their not trying to be funny, i think its just the case that the children were so young about 5-10. People want to take their place because they've had more of a chance in life that the children, it is a sad thing.
