Everything About You
Chapter 21

I spent the next few weeks just moping around. I went to school, then went home and slept or watched sad romance movies, wondering why my life sucked so much right now. Nobody's ever going to love me. I heard the doorbell ring, and I got up to get it. I looked at what I was wearing and shrugged. I had on my gray and pink North Face hoodie and a pair of ripped jeans. I wore matching pink toms and my hair in a pony with a pink ribbon. Who cares if I look stupid. I have no one to impress. 
"Hi." Niall said as I opened the door.
"Oh, hi. Louis isn't home." I said, opening the door wider to let him in. 
"I came by to see how you were doing. Still moping?" he asked, looking at my outfit. 
"Stop it. You would be to if someone told you they weren't in love with you." I told him, before I realized what I said. 
"Been there before, remember?" he asked. Ouch. 
"I didn't mean it like that." I said. 
"Yeah, yeah." he waved it off like it was nothing. 
"So, what are you watching? Dear John? That's a sad movie." he said, then looked at all the other movie cases I had spread across the coffee table. The Notebook, The Vow, Romeo and Juliet, Titanic. 
"These are all sad movies. You're just torturing yourself." he said, taking a seat next to me. I guess you can say Niall and I have become friends now. He's been helping me get through this breakup, which not many guys would do, so I was grateful for that. 
"Alright, we're going to watch something else." he said, grabbing the remote. He went to Movies On Demand and went to the comedy section. He scrolled down until he found 21 Jump Street, purchased it, and pressed play. 
"Niall, I really don't want to watch a comedy right now." I said, reaching for the remote. 
"Quiet down and watch the movie." he said, moving the remote out of my reach. Great. I threw a blanket over my legs and leaned my head against the back of the couch. Halfway through the movie, my head rolled onto Niall's shoulder, but I didn't want to move it. I laughed a lot, because this movie was pretty funny. 
"Oh my gosh, Jonah Hill is too great!" I said at the end of the movie, almost in tears from laughing so much. 
"You're not a Tatum lover?" Niall asked, which made me laugh. 
"I like him, but I'm a Hill Honey for now." I said, making myself laugh more. After I settled down, I looked over at Niall. 
"Thank you Niall. For cheering me up. I needed that." I said, and he smiled at me. 
"Anything for you." he said, and I rested my head on his shoulder once again. I fell asleep like that, and woke up hours later when I heard snickering. 
"How cute!" Harry said, trying hard not to laugh. 
"Shut up. I was tired." I said, getting up. Niall was still sleeping, and I didn't want to wake him. 
Louis had other friends over, and they stayed in the guest room. Niall didn't have a room for the night. 
"Niall, you can go sleep in my room. I'll take the couch." I said as he woke up, wondering where he was going to spend the night. 
"Don't be silly. There's enough room in that bed for the two of us." he said. Call me crazy, but I think I was blushing. I walked to my room and threw on my big tshirt from when I saw Kiss in concert last summer. I crawled under the covers and was face to face with Niall. 
"I can't sleep on my right side." he said, smiling slightly. 
"I can't sleep on my left." I replied, laughing lightly. Was I flirting with Niall? Before I could stop myself, I leaned closer to him and our lips touched. I reminded myself what I was getting into, but I didn't stop. It just felt so perfect. Everything about this was so perfect. It felt so right. 
"Haylie, I still like you. A lot." he said in between kisses. 
"Niall, I like you too." I said, sitting up. 
"I guess I always have. I just never wanted to admit it. I mean, why would you choose me? Out of all the girls you could have? I'm a geek, a nerd, a nobody. And yet, here we are, you telling me that you like me. I just don't understand." I said. 
"Haylie, there's a lot about you that I like. You're not a nobody. You're my world. You're not a geek or a nerd, you're just smart. And you are absolutely beautiful." he said, staring deeply into my eyes. I kissed him again, more passionately this time. 
"I lied. I don't like you a lot Haylie. I love you." 
"Don't do that Niall. Don't sat that." I said, not sure if I loved him or not. 
"You don't have to say it back. Just know that I am completely and utterly in love with you." he told me. 
I didn't say anything back, and he turned on his other side to sleep. Although I know he wasn't sleeping, because he can't sleep on his right side. 
I couldn't sleep either. Not because I was on my left side, but because I just realized something. 
"Niall James Horan, I'm in love with you too."
