Criminals don't obey the laws now, what makes you think they'll start whenever guns get banned? All that's going to do is get more innocent people hurt by having nothing to protect themselves with. If someone is trying to shoot me, I d@mn sure want the choice of having a gun to try and defend myself with.

bannning guns is against our constational right 2end amedment is the right to bear arms to protect you your family and property. its not the guns who kill people its the people that kill people. yeah theres gun accidents but if you teac your child guns arnt tys then that can pervent on some. in VT were 1 in 2 people own a gun we suprisingly dont have a problem like that because we have strict lawss like fellons or anyone who has commited a villant crime cant purchs one. but if you ban them they will get them just like people get drugs. me being a further cop could walk out of my house and find drugs if we out law guns then it will be the same and some people own guns to feed there familys

It's not the guns that are the problem. It's the people behind them. Banning guns will not solve the problem. Screening and background checks on people purchasing the gun ona regular basis is what will help prevent these tragedies from happening.

Those breaking the law to kill people won't care about laws against guns. The only people who would give up the guns are the good people who follow the law. And then all you have is a population of law abiding citizens with no way to protect themselves against the evil people who still have guns. Does that sound like a good world?

America can't ban guns. it's in the second amendment in the constitution. Even if guns were banned, criminals don't exactly follow the laws.

I understand where you're coming from, but banning guns won't do anything. There are a lot of states where guns are or have been banned, but there were still shootings. Take Chicago, for example. I live there, and even when guns were banned, they were still used.

Guns don't kill people. People kill people. And even if they did ban guns, bad guys would still find a way to get them illegally. And then you couldn't protect yourself! I can't even tell you how many more people would be dead today if they hadn't had guns to protect themselves. More women would've been , more families killed. Is that really what you want?

You know, yeah, I am really p'd off at the shooter. But I think that taking away guns is just wrong. That's the only way some people live. Without Americans having guns, hunting, which is the only way some people eat. After taking away guns, people would start using other weapons. Soon, everyone would have to be kept in padded rooms since they were bludgeoning each other with sticks off of trees. Maybe instead of banning guns, they could require gunowners to pass the full psychological exam and prove that they know how the weapon should be used, before giving them the gun. But I want to be able to protect myself if someone decides to break into my house and threaten my life, whether they have a gun or not. And that is why I have a hunters license and can use a gun. And please, stop telling people to stop commenting. You are the one who posted the quote. You should expect commentary.

We don't need to ban guns, we need to restrict them. Obviously people in the defense force would have them, but any old psycho can go pick up a gun and kill 100 people. The laws just need to be REFORMED.

guns don't kill people, people kill people. if you make guns illegal what is going to stop crazy people? who is going to stop a crazy person from going to the store and buying fertilizer to make bombs? are you gonna make fertilizer illegal? are they gonna make gasoline illegal after someone make gasoline martinis? one of the first ammendments is the right to bear arms. taking away guns will not help, and the government can't do it. i understand everyones frustration, and im not a heartless bastardd, because when i heard they were killed, i cried, because i too, have a little sister. im just saying that guns should not be taken away because of a couple of people, its not a solution. RIP little angels, you'll never be forgotten.

Whats banning guns going to do? Nothing. Except for make people get them illegally. What about the honest people? Like hunters? Banning guns isn't going to do anything besides a lot of people off. Maybe we should focus on WHY people do these things instead of HOW. Obviously this is a horrible tragedy, but if you're going to ban guns, go ahead and ban knives, and cars, or forks for that matter. Because he could just have easily waited until the beginning of the school day to have ran those kids over when they were walking in, or it could just have easily been a stabbing. So maybe we should focus on not selling guns to people with a history of mental health, instead of banning them for everybody. Because honestly? Punishing everybody for something one person did isn't fair and it's stupid.

If teachers were allowed to keep a gun locked in their room guess how many shootings there would be? A whole lot less. "Hmm I'd really like to shoot these kids. Oh crap all the teachers have guns and they will kill me." A lot less likely to have a shooting. The problem here is that bad people have guns and good people can't. If we arm places like schools and movie theaters then there won't be as many shootings. Guns are not the problem, if we got rid of them then people would just kill each other with knives. Then how would we stop them? We would have to get a knife too because we don't have any freaking guns. The day that man killed all those little kids there was also a man in china that injured 22 kids with a knife. Don't trust me? Look it up. Guns aren't the problem, it's stupid people and just flat out ignorance about the subject. Go ahead and hate on me because I want to be able to defend myself if someone try's to kill me, I would love for you to try and argue with this. Ten amendments, second amendment, Right to bear arms. We all have this right and it should never be taken away unless someone misuses it, I have never misused it therefor I have every right to carry my gun around for self protection.
