Well, I'm 20, so I'm pretty much ancient here on witty, but I wouldn't say that I 'hate' on really young people on the internet. Well, of course you'd hate on those who actually already post inappropiate pictures of themselves, but there are stupid people of every generation on the internet.
However, for me it's just sad to see that 11 year olds are already spending enough time on the computer to be on all these social networking sides. We didn't even have internet until I was 10 and for the first years you couldn't be on the phone and on the internet at the same time. So, naturally, I was still hanging out outside with my friends all day or actually still playing with dolls. I had absolutely no use for the internet and I'm really happy about that, because I could stay a child for a little bit longer.
But times change and the older generation will always think bad about the younger generations. It's just sad to see.

Kay, um I'm making another point, here. What is wrong with 11-12 year olds. What is wrong. Is it the way we look? The way we sound or what we type on our computers? Why do people disapprove of us? I mean, what have we done? Ok, I might have annoyed my older brother, but that dosen't make everyone my age an idiot! I mean, Yolo. That was made a while ago, and people wear tops that say it on them. I've seen someone that looked 20 wearing a top saying YOLO on it. And, daycare was 10 years ago. What the heck are we going to tweet about? Oh, how about our favourite music? Our favourite youtube channel? Anything like that. So what the heck is wrong with being 11? You were 11 once, and who cares if you played with dolls or went off crying at the simplist of things? Who cares If I do it? It dosen't matter because you guys, are sitting in front of your screen, hating on our specific age for no reason whatsoever. So can I just ask one thing? Why?

I get annoyed my 17 year olds saying swag and YOLO. I've actually only seen a few 10-12 year olds saying this kinda stuff and you know what? I think society is actually in the tie of getting better. More celbrities are good role models, high schoolers are wearing crop tops instead of bikini tops to the mall, teen pregnancy has gone down, gay rights are being promoted, biracial dating is okay, and dropping out of high school is a big deal now. In the 1900-1990 dropping out was considered normal. I've posted meaningful poems on my twitter, pictures that took hours to o, and posts about sadness. Just because I was born a few years different than you doesn't mean I'm worthless. You were 11 or 12 once. You had problems then, correct? Well, did your friend die when you were 11? Did you have to be the only kid in the class who had to deal with being the only kid in the class who'd lost her 18 year old friend? I started babysitting kids at 11. I started playing bass and guitar at 11. I started writing poems at 9. Why are younger kids looked down upon so much. In some countries, you're expected to be married with kids at 13. Just because I feel like having an instagram, twitter, witty, facebook, and blog doesn't mean I'm going to post about swag or YOLO or having a boyfriend 24/7. I don't even have a crush yet. My 17 year old sister started kissing boys in 6th grade, my older brother too. And all of the high school and college students I know got their first kiss in middle school. My friends haven't even dated yet. The only real reason I have a twitter is to see what my favorite band posts.

I'm really happy I wasn't involved with any social networking sites when I was that age because I'm very ashamed of myself at that time. But it's irritating when people makes jokes like "You're ten, you should be playing with dolls" or something like that because I'm pretty sure the average ten-year-old in any time period was too old for that.

I'm sincerely sorry. I didn't mean to make playing with dolls seem like a bad thing. It's just that people have this misconception that ten/eleven/twelve year olds are ridiculously immature and incapable of having complex emotions when that's not the case and that's never been the case.

Actually, I made twitter there a while a go and I'm fully capable of tweeting good tweets. I hate the way that people presume if your under 13 your automatically not able to write anything cool online. I know I'm ranting on and on but could you guys just give us a chance?
