im sorry but religion is a way of life, and law is put by the government to protect their citizens
so if something isn't illegal, that obviously doesn't mean it is right
we follow or not follow a religion because we believe that certain belief is right
so if you're going to call yourself a Christian, atleast act like one
in Christianity you are suppose to love God more than anyone else, so can't you just give up a few things for him?
I don't want to make it a religious debate or anything, honestly, just because abortion and adultery isnt illegal, who said it was right?
i guess marriage doesnt evenhave a purpose anymore....
restrictions in religion and life were put for a reason you know...

As an atheist, I believe everyone should eat Nutella and settle down in peace and harmony.

Yeah well that doesn't make them right. Legalizing Homosexuality changed millions of lives. It made people be able to make the wrong decision. Excuse me but it's Adam and Eve. Not Adam and Adam. Or Eve and Eve.

Well then, I guess eating shellfish is the wrong decision, wearing gold/pearls/costly items is the wrong decision, divorce is the wrong decision, polyester/any fabric blend is wrong, getting a tattoo is the wrong decision, telling fortunes/getting your fortune told is the wrong decision, touching/eating anything from a pig is the wrong decision, and getting a round haircut is the wrong decision. The Bible says that all of those things are wrong. You are saying that because "no homosexuality" is in the Bible, homosexuality should be illegal. That means that everything else that is wrong in the Bible should be illegal. I am 100% sure you've done at least one thing listed on the quote or what I've just done. That would make you a criminal wouldn't it?
Just goes to show how weak your argument is.

You've got to be kidding me.. It made people able to make the wrong decision? You obviously didn't read the quote. People are always able to make a wrong decision, regardless of laws.

I am a Christian and I would have to agree. Though I quietly don't support homosexuality, I do not think the government really should have any say. Because of this reason exactly. God hates all sins equally, including homosexuality, and yet people flip the freak out over being gay. I say support the person, not the sin. It's the same with every sin. Judgement is not the way to love people. We're all equally sinners, sucky as that may be, until cleansed by Jesus.
But anyway, yeah. This is pretty correct

I'm Christian.
I support gay marriage.
Don't say you're against gay marriage because you're Christian if you've had s/x before marriage.
That's stupid.

This is one of the most stupid things I have ever seen. You would rather break God's law than to break man's law?

You know the Bible is also against eating shellfish, wearing gold/pearls/costly items, divorce, polyester/any fabric blend, tattoos, fortune telling, football/eating anything from pig really, and round haircuts. But are any of those against the law?

God doesn't exist so your argument is invalid.

Even as an atheist, I completely disagree with your comment. There is no evidence supporting the existence of God, as well for the opposite, so you can't deem either as true. Your argument is just as invalid as hers.

Humanity could progress just fine if people wouldn't be all open about their religion all the time. Hale_storm18 really shouldn't have written anything. She has been on Witty long enough to know that this would happen if she posted something like this. If people didn't go around telling everyone about their religion, and if they didn't go around flaunting it off to everyone it would be just fine.

Also a Christian and you are exactly right. It's called separation of church and state so marriage equality being against one's religion is a rather invalid argument.

omg thank you whenever anybody starts their statement with "but the bible says-" like are you going to base your decisions on what's morally right or a book written over 1,000 years ago.

The Bible says it's morally right to spank your kids, which is considered child abuse now, so they should know that it's slightly dated.

That is true that the law does not follow the Bible. But we as Christians are supposed to follow what the Bible says. Just like as Americans, we are supposed to follow what the law says. I'm pretty sure you can make a compromise there.
