Screw God.
I've grown up believing and worshipping a god faker than barbie. If there was a god, why the hell didn't he help me? Why did you just let us all fall into this horrible darkness? I thought you were supposed to love us. Help us. Guide us. If there is a god he's not who we think he is. He's a vantriloquist, a puppet master, and we're all just the sad pathetic dolls he uses for amusement.

Maybe, IF there is a God, then maybe he thought that you need to try and solve your problems on your own. Not just you, but everyone because we can't keep depending on him whenever we have a problem. We as a group of people need to learn how to fight for ourselves and not keep relying on God.

Thank you for your opinion, but I will not take down my quote. Maybe I'm only lost for a moment, but maybe not, Either way, this is now part of my past and Witty's history, so I refuse to take this down. Bottom line

Okay, well I said I was sorry and honestly that's all I can do. When I said my comment, I was not bagging on you or anything, I was just stating my opinion like you did in the quote. Sorry for taking it out on you. And that's all I can say.

I'm sorry if it came off as rude, but the comment he posted offended me a lot. Because not all catholics are like that. And most of us aren't trashing your quote, or at least I wasn't. It kind of upsets me to know you have this opinion on God. But it's your opinion and that's okay. And again, I'm sorry if I came off as being rude. I'm just very offended by his comment. Sorry.

I'm not saying you didn't have to be offended by his comment, I'm just saying you didn't have to take it out on me. And to be honest, from the very first comment you sounded like you were bagging on me.

Okay, well I was just letting you know. And not to be rude, but if you're going to give me major attitude because you don't agree with my opinion and then because I very nicely tried telling you he couldn't see that comment then don't bother replying. With all due respect.

Okay... No. Not all catholics are goody goodies. And not everyone is using verbal violence. I was just voicing my opinion on the quote which is what this site was made for as you said so I'm going to do it too. And by cussing, your the one using verbal violence..not us.

In the bible, God even told us straight out that it wouldn't be easy. He said there would be suffering, especially if we follow Him. Yet He still lets us choose! He didn't say "It's gonna be hard, so follow me or burn in hell!" No. He let us choose by our own free will. And I'm choosing His way, because with Him I know my suffering won't last forever.
I respect your opinion, but please please please don't bash other religions. There are better ways to share what you think.

Thank you for you're input. Here's mine. Everyone's hating me for my opinion, but like I said above, you're judging before you know my story. Ever wonder WHY all the sudden I quit on God? Someone doesn't just fully devote their life for 11 years and just stop. There's always a reason. I turned to God with everything, I stood up for the faith and spread it as much as I could. I brought Him into essays and papers and daily conversations. I was proud to be a Catholic Christian. I went to Catholic school for 10 years, and I wanted to, it wasn't because I was forced. Maybe, JUST MAYBE, I had a reason and this seemed the only logical answer. Have a nice day.
And by the way, I worked and prayed for just a little bit of guidance for 2 years now, and I've been stumbling around blindly, falling into more trouble and traps without even trying. I'm not bashing the religion. I'm just saying.

Well, I understand where you're coming from. It took 8+ years for God to completely heal my life. That's the thing: God does it with His timing, and He is perfect. He makes no mistakes. And even if you don't feel like He's there, He is.
Maybe this is something you should talk to your pastor about.
I'll be praying for you. :-) I hope everything will be okay with you soon (but remember, sometimes it might take a while).

Catholic Speaking.
I respect your opinion but whenever anything happens, I pray, and God hears me. He helps me, he guides me.
God can't help us with everything, he can't control us, only guide us.
You have to have faith.
You have to believe.
People are who they choose to be. Like I said before, God can't control us, only guide us.

Sorry for the rant

It is your opinion and choice on what to believe and I respect your opinion, but because I am a Catholic I believe in God and whenever I need help he's always there. Yes there is always going to be suffring but he gave us life and we can do what we want with it. For example: the people who bombed boston, god gave them life and they chose to kill people. That isn't God's fault, it's theirs. They had a choice on what they could do.

Sorry for ranting.

And saying 'screw god' isn't? 'The only logical answer,' in your opinion, can be said in a much nicer way. I really couldn't possibly care less where you go in life or what you decide to do, but saying 'screw god' hurts me and I have a right to say something. So yes, you are fking rude, your opinion could've been said in a much more polite way. I won't apologize to you for having an opinion and I never will.

Okay, you need to take a step back. I didn't mean to offend you at all, if this offends you then block me or just don't follow me or look at my quotes, that simple. I was let down yesterday and hurt and confused, and I still am, and I don't have the time or energy to deal with hypocrites, such as yourself, who are going to say I'm rude for speaking my mind. So sorry if I offended you but step back and take a look, is this really going to kill you? Everyone in this world has opinions, and you're just going to have to get used to it. Sorry to rain on your parade.

I read this off someone on Witty. I just forgot which one: So I'll post it below. Just.. My advice? Don't give in. Professor : You are a Christian, aren’t you, son ?

Student : Yes, sir.

Professor: So, you believe in GOD ?

Student : Absolutely, sir.

Professor : Is GOD good ?

Student : Sure.

Professor: Is GOD all powerful ?

Student : Yes.

Professor: My brother died of cancer even though he prayed to GOD to heal him. Most of us would attempt to help others who are ill. But GOD didn’t. How is this GOD good then? Hmm?

(Student was silent.)

Professor: You can’t answer, can you ? Let’s start again, young fella. Is GOD good?

Student : Yes.

Professor: Is satan good ?

Student : No.

Professor: Where does satan come from ?

Student : From … GOD …

Professor: That’s right. Tell me son, is there evil in this world?

Student : Yes.

Professor: Evil is everywhere, isn’t it ? And GOD did make everything. Correct?

Student :Yes

Professor: So who created evil ?

(Student did not answer.)

Professor: Is there sickness? Immorality? Hatred? Ugliness? All these terrible things exist in the world, don’t they?

Student : Yes, sir.

Professor: So, who created them ?

(Student had no answer.)

Professor: Science says you have 5 Senses you use to identify and observe the world around you. Tell me, son, have you ever seen GOD?

Student : No, sir.

Professor: Tell us if you have ever heard your GOD?

Student : No , sir.

Professor: Have you ever felt your GOD, tasted your GOD, smell your GOD? Have you ever had any sensory perception of GOD for that matter?

Student : No, sir. I’m afraid I haven’t.

Professor: Yet you still believe in Him?

Student : Yes.

Professor : According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn’t exist. What do you say to that, son?

Student : Nothing. I only have my faith.

Professor: Yes, faith. And that is the problem Science has.

Student : Professor, is there such a thing as heat?

Professor: Yes.

Student : And is there such a thing as cold?

Professor: Yes.

Student : No, sir. There isn’t.

(The lecture theatre became very quiet with this turn of events.)

Student : Sir, you can have lots of heat, even more heat, superheat, mega heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat. But we don’t have anything called cold. We can hit 458 degrees below zero which is no heat, but we can’t go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. We cannot measure cold. Heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, sir, just the absence of it.

(There was pin-drop silence in the lecture theater.)

Student : What about darkness, Professor? Is there such a thing as darkness?

Professor: Yes. What is night if there isn’t darkness?

Student : You’re wrong again, sir. Darkness is the absence of something. You can have low light, normal light, bright light, flashing light. But if you have no light constantly, you have nothing and its called darkness, isn’t it? In reality, darkness isn’t. If it is, were you would be able to make darkness darker, wouldn’t you?

Professor: So what is the point you are making, young man ?

Student : Sir, my point is your philosophical premise is flawed.

Professor: Flawed ? Can you explain how?

Student : Sir, you are working on the premise of duality. You argue there is life and then there is death, a good GOD and a bad GOD. You are viewing the concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure. Sir, Science can’t even explain a thought. It uses electricity and magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one. To view death as the opposite of life is to be ignorant of the fact that death cannot exist as a substantive thing.

Death is not the opposite of life: just the absence of it. Now tell me, Professor, do you teach your students that they evolved from a monkey?

Professor: If you are referring to the natural evolutionary process, yes, of course, I do.

Student : Have you ever observed evolution with your own eyes, sir?

(The Professor shook his head with a smile, beginning to realize where the argument was going.)

Student : Since no one has ever observed the process of evolution at work and cannot even prove that this process is an on-going endeavor. Are you not teaching your opinion, sir? Are you not a scientist but a preacher?

(The class was in uproar.)

Student : Is there anyone in the class who has ever seen the Professor’s brain?

(The class broke out into laughter. )

Student : Is there anyone here who has ever heard the Professor’s brain, felt it, touched or smelt it? No one appears to have done so. So, according to the established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that you have no brain, sir. With all due respect, sir, how do we then trust your lectures, sir?

(The room was silent. The Professor stared at the student, his face unfathomable.)

Professor: I guess you’ll have to take them on faith, son.
