Ehm... I think they mean, like you've seen something that builds into a person. Like, perhaps you see a certain kind of nose, and while reading, you put that kind of nose on someone, or eyes, or hair, facialfeatures, jawline, legs, arms, body type, etc, I think that's what it's about.
