okay, I don't like the book Wintergirls as a whole, because it glorifies eating disorders and self harm like you wouldn't believe, but there is one quote at the end that I like, and that is how I feel right now.

My favorite book ever, I didn't really take it as it glorifying disorders, but I have one.. So I kno how it goes.

I see your point, but I think the book shows how bad an eating disorder can be for your body. It shows how deadly it can be.

Really? I didn't see it as glorifying it, I saw it more as showing it in a different perspective than one might think of it as, but I guess I can see where you're coming from, but oh my god that quote.

I suppose it's more the way it's been portrayed by a community of girls online, but if you're in the disordered mindset the whole /book/ is pretty much a how-to guide for anorexia.

Hmm, never really thought of it as that, but now that you mention it, I can see it. I think that, on the other hand, it can also be helpful to girls who struggle with their body image because, really the book portrays the struggle in a way that I'm not sure is accurate or not, but that is definitely enough to drive some away from it. It's a double edged sword, I guess.
