there is a nice boy in my brothers grade who graduated last year. he is 20 and also has down syndrome. He is one of the nicest boys i know. i love how nice he is and how everyone loves him. he might die soon, but the good thing is he was prom king and lived a life of helping people.

That's sad that he might die. :( I know people with down syndrome have a shorter life expectancy. But, yeah, he probably did more in what we would consider a short life so far than a lot of us will ever do with 50 years more than him.

So many times I've thought that. Maybe they've got it right? Maybe we should be the ones following their example. And I think that it's wonderful that you take such pride in your brother. I have 4 cousins with special needs and a lot of special friends at school, and let me tell you, they make each and every day better.

He is rather adorable. :) Someone mentioned going bowling in church today, and he was like, *gasp* "Oh? bowling?" really loud. lol. He wants to go along and bowl.

that is so sweet! my aunt has down syndrome but she can't talk but she can understand everything that we say and I love making her laugh just to see her smile. I will show this to my mom though because she has a soft spot for these beautiful people<3 love this quote! I have learned something from your amazing brother

Yeah. One time I was on witty and he came along and started reading and I'm like... what? I thought he just read the same stuff all the time and had it memorized. But I was surprised to find that he can actually read things he's never seen before.

I am going to show this quote to my brother. He had a baby around thanksgiving and he has down syndrome... When he found out he basically said "My life is over, I have a for a son." it honestly broke my heart to hear him say this about my nephew. I'm going to show him this to make him realize that just because his son has a disability doesn't mean he is going to be stupid or horrible. Thank you for making this quote.

Awhh. That is heart-breaking. My little brother has been an amazing blessing to us! Sure, it may take him longer to learn different things, and there may be stuff he'll never do, but he was put here by God for a reason. :) Same as your nephew.
