Everyone says Shrek is the best fairytale...
I have to disagree and
here's why...
Everyone says Shrek is the best fairytale because it shows that
two imperfect people can have happy endings.
Here's what *I* got from Shrek:
Fiona wouldn't give Shrek the time of day until Shrek
discovered that she was also an ogre at night. Therefore, it
taught me that an imperfect person can only find love with
another imperfect person...
The real best fairytale in my opinion is Beauty and the
Beast.
In this fairytale, a perfect girl fell in love with a man dispite
his imperfections.
It teaches us that you don't have to be beautiful for people
to love you. It teaches us that we need to look at what's on
the inside, rather than looks.
Don't judge a book by it's cover.
This is why Beauty and the Beast is a better fairy tale than
Shrek.

Actually, fiona and shrek fell in love before shrek found out she could turn into an ogre. She just didn't think he would love her because of that but yea I see what your saying. I love beauty and the beast(:

i think that beauty and the beast teaches us that it doesnt matter what the guy looks like as long as he's a billionaire and owns a castle. also, belle's love for the beast can also be construed as stockholme syndrome.
but thats just my opinion.

I think Shrek is a better fairytale when it comes to appearances. You're right, in Beauty and The Beast, a perfect girl loves an imperfect person. In Shrek, two imperfect people fall in love. Which makes Shrek more accurate because nobody's perfect. Everyone has flaws and we got to love one another nonetheless. Don't get me wrong though, both movies teach valuable lessons.
