It's cool to know another language but it's just common curtosy to speak the language of the country you're living in like if I moved to France I would learn French.

I live in a place where most people speak English as a second language. We were brought up speaking Tamil, English and Hindi. If you don't like not understanding what people are saying, learn the language.
