Kids around that age are in the awkward stage of being a kid to a teenager. They want to be grown up so they do dumb stuff, thinking it will make them popular, better than someone, etc., when all they're doing is making a fool of themselves.

Tumblr. And the post was a bunch of different people replying to the "How are middle schoolers sexually active? I wasn't even socially active." Then another said, "I'm still not socially active." And then the last one, 'I'm not even active."
