I am a competitive dancer, so I can give pretty good advice to calm your nerves.(:
Now, I know some of this is gonna sound stupid, but trust me! :D
Take deep breaths. VERY deep breaths.
When you're waiting to go on and you feel your nerves getting out of control, do the hand jive.
If you mess up, play it off as cool as you can. Pretend that you meant to do it.
Don't let the audience distract you. Imagine that they're not there and it's just you.
I don't know if you're dancing or singing, but either way get into the music.
Make sure you feel deeply about what you're doing.

speak loud, clear and slowly, walk around, use facial expressions and have expressions in your voice, all of that counts, also make eye contact with the audience, haha:D good luck btw :) xo

What I do is I pretend I'm performing for someone who I'm comfortable around, or just singing in my shower. The stage lights thing really helps too.
