I envision fragments
of your life spread out across the night sky.
there's constellations sculpted by pieces of your wedding
day;
lighting up the sky, yet breaking my heart.
Shooting stars of children;
ones that will have your eyes and her hair
never the dimple on my chin.
I name the rest of the stars after the reasons that I love

and I watch myself turn yet another beautiful thing in a memory
