I get so sick of these quotes.. Everyone is making jokes about the younger generation, but guess what? The world has become more dangerous and kids have matured faster. What if I told you I'm 13 and I have suicidal thoughts? Would you believe me? Younger generations have matured so much faster because of the terrible world we live in. Seriously. These quotes aren't funny anymore.

I agree with you, I was about to make this same quote when i read this but then i saw you already made it. Im also 13 and im going through the same thing you are. I'm really damn tired of these kind of quotes because i go through worse than these kind of things and it's really painful. Just because you're younger doesn't mean you can't feel these kind of horrible emotions. Children half our age go through WORSE.

If you don't mind I'm going to put my opinion on here:3 but if 12 year olds love each other then people should leave them be. I'm pretty sure we've all went out with someone who wasn't the one. I mean, just because maybe you didn't have a boy/girlfriend when you were younger it doesn't mean you can be like this to them. This wasn't personally aimed at you even though I used the word you:') it's to everyone who does this:'3

I don't think that you can actually find love at 12.This is my opinion and i respect yours. You may call it attraction but never love .

but we've all thought we were in love when we're not so i don't see what the difference is between a 17 year old having a boy/girlfriend and a 12 year old having one

I'm 12 but I don't find these things offensive because when I'm older I'll be making jokes about all the 12 year olds earth has to offer. ^-^

The point is that your either going to break up or marry a person, you don;t need a bf now. When you'll get older you'll understand me :)

If you think about it, your either going to break up or marry a person. I don't understand how people honestly think a relationship is going to last a whole 10 years and then get married ^-^

Stop just stop. I was around about 12 when that happened to me and it was a really difficult time. It doesn't matter how old you are. You still loose someone and it still hurts.

Inclined to agree, if it matters to you at that age it doesn't matter if it's true or not. It mattered at the time.

to angry preteen kids:
how is this quote correct in every sense?

if you dated the last two guys I dated, your head would be so far up your as.es to the point where you wouldn't be able to sht.
I, being 18, am mature enough to know that those two guys weren't gonna be in my life forever.
you, being 12, really convinced yourself that you wouldn't meet anyone else except that one guy.

guess what, the world is full of as.holes.
and pretty decent guys.
you win some.
you lose some.

suck it up.

But the reason I thought he was the one was not because I was 12 and didn't know any better, it was because no one EVER knew me or does now the way he did. He knew pratically everything about me. I didn't think he was the one because I was some stupid 12 year old which I wasn't at all.

To be honest this really angers me because I broke up with my boyfriend and couldn't get on with my life. I was depressed because of it and went downhill with life and lots of other things happened and I just couldn't move on because he was the first person who knew almost everything about me, my regrets, my future, my past, my deep secrets, my thoughts, my feelings, and so much more. When you lose that, that's hard so I really think you shouldn't judge because when you're in love with someone with all of your heart, envision a future with them, open up and become vulnerable to them it kills you when you lose that because it really isn't funny..

Same man, in 6th grade I dated a boy for 9 months exactly. He moved to Europe though, so obviously I had to break it off. It wasn't fun though. There was that BlackButterflies quote yesterday, everyone matures at different speeds and only you know when you have real feelings for someone. So yeah man, I feel you, and younger me feels you too.

It probably is hard. Seriously, you did lose someone who meant a great deal to you. And I can imagine that you fell for someone just like that. It's love. It happens. It's like tripping over a stone: no one expects it. It just happens. There's no control over it.
But I think the poster also meant that you /are/were/ young. And your whole life is ahead of you. He was a big part of your world, that's true, but being so young - he won't be the only one becoming such a big part of you. And that's what the poster meant. You're going to get up anyhow and move on, because you're young. It feels like the end of the world then, but after awhile you realize - it wasn't.

InspireCreateBecome21 · 1 decade ago
Yeah I get what you mean, but honestly that will always be a big deal to me even though he didn't deserve me or treat me right I lost the one person who knows almost everything about me, he's the only one who does. It's hard to ever find someone like that to open up to again ever and to have them accept and not look differently at you after you tell them all there is to tell. If you've never had that kind of person, at any age, even at 12 because I was extremely mature and am still now being 14 then you wouldn't know. Then when you add on that they were someone you were in love with it makes it even worse because then you lost two people, your best friend and the love of your life. That's why it's so hard. But get what you mean, it just annoys me because a lot of people judge without knowing

^^^ This was me at 12 years old too. Seriously we dated for almost a year even though we were really young and it's really hard to lose someone who is a big part of your life no matter what age you are. I agree.
thumbs up 2 thumbs down reply

InspireCreateBecome21 · 1 decade ago
Exactly, thank you! I went through the same thing where I dated a guy for a year and 5 months. We broke up about 4-5 months ago and it was throughout the relationships breaking up and finally the last time really hard on me. It annoys me when people say stuff like that and I agree. It doesn't matter what age you are losing a big part of your life is a big deal.

Yeah like if a twelve year old lost their best friend who knew everything about them and they couldn't do anything about it everyone would feel sympathy for them and be like "It's okay I know it's tough." but if it's a guy/girl they shared a romantic thing with suddenly it's not a valid reason to be upset like ok whatever u say
thumbs up 1 thumbs down reply

InspireCreateBecome21 · 1 decade ago
Exactly! Thank you seriously for putting that into words because people never feel bad when you lose a boyfriend/girlfriend who was your best friend, it's supposed to be "no big deal". But when you lose a best friend it's a huge deal.

People need to like take a step back and consider that not all kids who are "in love" are kids who just hold hands on the school playground and act awkward around each other. Some have a really good thing between them and it's not easy to lose and just ahhh I get so pumped talking about this I need to stop
thumbs up 1 thumbs down reply

InspireCreateBecome21 · 1 decade ago
Exactly and no I understand, I do too. People don't get that some people literally mature in every way really young so they really do know the true feeling and knowing of love

Trust me you should laugh and smile and be happy about it.
Dating is cool at the time but the aftermath sucks and I've lost a lot of people from my life and just yo be happy you don't have that going on because when you're young relationships have a lot of extra drama they really shouldn't have but because you're young thing go really wrong and people are really dumb.
It's so much better to wait 'til you're older and the guys are, hopefully, mature enough to handle things the right way.
