You're actually free to do all of those things besides the naked one. Just because somebody doesn't agree with it, that doesn't make it not free.

Yea, I know. I also know other countries have it worse than us. i really do feel bad for them. I was just stating that in Amurica we aren't as free as our government trys to make it seem.

It is actually about how the government lies, yes. Saying we're free to do what we want and everyone who comes here is free. I thank you for being one of the few who realize what it's about.

I'm not sure I want to be free to run around naked...
But anyways, we definitely aren't the land of the free and the home of the gay, and we do judge other people, but you're free to do anything you want- you just have to be ready to handle the consequences. You're completely free to be overweight, but some people are going to look down on you for that. Okay. So what? That doesn't mean you CAN'T be overweight. Idk if that made sense.

i watch people take what they have for granted. People dont know how good they have it. Just because some people arent okay with a few things doesnt mean the county isnt free. Did you know that in several countries homosexuals get either killed or put into mental facilities by their own government. In the uk if you self harm you may very well be put in a mental hospital as if youre crazy. True the us has some problems no where is perfect but that doesn't mean its not free. if you were a parent and you had young kids would you want them to see naked people walking down the street some people are modest and would rather not see sights like that its human decency to be dressed.

Yea the self harm thing is the same here. And honestly, I wouldn't mind. It's only human decency because we made it that way. But if everyone was used to it, what would be the problem with it?

America is the land of the free. Obviously it's far from perfect, but we have it better than some people in other countries. How aren't you free to be a "foreigner?" This is the land of immigrants! You are free to be gay, over/underweight, self harm, and be depressed, and be ugly. Some people may frown upon you, but so many others are willing to help. In other countries, people lack basic civil rights! Wanna talk about oppression? Some kids don't have the luxury of worrying about being "fat" or "ugly" because they're too busying fighting off poverty and starvation. And what "society" tries to "help" or "change" them? Nothing! So what, so we're not as open-minded as some western European countries, but we're better off than a whole bunch of others.

Foreigners are far from free. If we're free to be gay, then why is everyone making laws on whether we can or can not be. If you're over weight people think you eat too much and you get sent to rehab. If you're underweight people think you're anorexic and you get sent to rehab. If you're depressed you get drugged up and sent to rehab. If you self harm you get drugged up and sent to rehab or a mental institution. Tell me, how is that free?

My parents are immigrants. They came here because this country gave them opportunities that India could not. They are now both very successful and free. I don't know what you mean by "foreigner," it's a broad, vague term. You are free to be gay. In some states, yes, gay marriage is not illegal. But in several states it is legal. We're working on becoming more and more progressive. In order countries, gays are banned and persecuted. You DO NOT get sent to rehab for every little thing. There is a HUGE gap between being overweight and being obese and being underweight and being anorexic. I myself am a bit underweight naturally, but no one threatens to ship me off to rehab. You make everything so negative. If you struggle with an eating disorder or a mental disorder, then these problems should be immediately addressed! You aren't "drugged up," you're given medication that helps alleviate whatever chemical imbalance or problems they might have. I have had friends who struggled with depression and they have told me that although their medications is energy-zapping and annoying, it did help them on their road to recovery. Rehab isn't a bad thing, it helps a lot of people set their life back on track. I don't know what you mean by "free." The fact that we even have rehabilitation centers that help us deal with our problems when other countries don't, makes us very lucky to live here.

Yes, my grand parents came to Italy in order to escape the totalitarianism that Italy had, and come to the freedom that America has. To say that we hate foreigners is completely stupid. We accept all people who will contribute to the socioeconomic status of the nation.
