When I was in 2nd grade, we were told to write a poem about someone we admired. Everyone wrote about their moms or firefighters, etc. I wrote about a girl in the class that I liked. At the end of the poem, I said straight out "I like you, Tracy." 
All of her friends laughed.
When I tried to talk to her later, she screamed at the top of her lungs and cried.
I got in trouble for "hurting her."

HAHAHA. Omg. I'm not very smooth either. The first time I got a boyfriend, just last year in the 7th grade, we didnt kiss until like, 3 months of dating. It was very awkward.
