We were having a suicide awareness presentation in our classes the other day. A boy who sits behind me pokes me and whispers, "what if I went 'yay suicide!' in the middle of the presentation? Haha." I said,"that is NOT funny. Suicide isn't something to joke about. It can push someone over the edge." He said, "I was just kidding... I don't mean it." My response? "I don't care kidding or not. It is not funny." What I really wanted to say? "I've had suicidal thoughts multiple times. I almost went through with it twice. I'm still a bit shakey. It CAN push someone over the edge. Think before you speak."

Suicide and cutting jokes aren't funny.
