So yesterday we had a dance.
For the slow dances, I was asked once to dance and asked 4 guys to dance
I was the only one who know how to 2 Step, drop it low, and twerk (I didn't really tweak to much though).
I was apparently the "best dancer" at the dance and was stared down by so many eyes I felt like I was in a crystal ball.
    First time in a while I 100% enjoyed myself n a while.

    "He is bad news..."
    Chapter 31
We arrived at my house around 11 pm, after a loooooong walk to the park. It was really nice; I like spending time with him, especially when he’s in a good mood.
We were at his car which was parked outside my house. He was looking at the road and I had my eyes glued on my hands. Suddenly, he decided to break the silence.
    “I had fun tonight”.
    “Yeah, me too” I murmured.
“Sorry I made you miss your prom” he apologized.
“I don’t mind. It was gonna be a disaster anyway” I said, shrugging.
“Maybe I should take you home now” he smiled.
“Maybe you should” I agreed, giggling.
He got out of the car, opened up my door and helped me out. We walked to my garden and then my porch, holding hands. We really looked like those couples who were returning from proms and all.
We stood at my doorstep. He smiled at me before leaning in and brushing his lips against mine softly. He pulled away fast and knew this wasn’t enough for both of us, so he took a step closer and captured his lips on mine, his one hand on my waist and the other on my neck. I had my hands on his face the whole time. His kiss was slow and full of passion. He nibbled at my bottom lip and I ran my fingers through his hair, pulling him even closer. Suddenly, a weird sound made us pull away. It seemed that something was going on inside the house.
“Shh, I’m trying to hear!” somebody whispered, maybe too loud. I recognized the voice in no time: it belonged to my lovely mother. What an embarrassment.
Everett and I looked at each other and then burst out laughing. The scene was actually pretty ridiculous. He pecked my cheek one more time before taking a look at me. “I’ll see you tomorrow”.
“See you tomorrow” I said, waving goodbye. I watched as he walked back to his car and drove off quickly. Then, I unlocked the front door. I heard footsteps. Mom, I swear, if you were overhearing…
I found both my parents in the living room, my dad watching TV and my mother reading a magazine.
“Hey Evelyn! How was your prom?” she asked cheerfully, but voice slightly shaking.
“It was great. What are you doing?” I asked, sitting closer to her.
“You know, reading” she laughed weakly, turning some pages of her magazine.
“Upside down?” I asked, tilting my head.
“What?” she said, giving me a weird look.
“People read magazines like this” I said, grabbing it and turning it around, “not the way you were holding it”.
    “Oh yeah” she said.
I gave her a suspicious look, letting her know I didn’t quite believe her. She sighed, defeated. “You guys heard me didn’t you?”
    And that’s when I exploded.
“I can’t believe you were overhearing! That’s so embarrassing, mom! Don’t EVER do that again, please?” I said, lifting my arms up.
“I’m sorry! It was your first date and prom, though. I’m just excited my baby girl had finally had her first kiss!” she said cheerfully. “Tell me about it! Was it nice?”
    If you only knew.
“How did you… What the he.ll, mom?” I shouted.
“I’m sorry, okay? Won’t happen again, promise” she said, giving me a sweet smile.
I was to go upstairs, when I returned to the living room. I pulled my head inside the room and looked at her. “It was amazing” I said, smiling. She gave me an excited smile but then I ran upstairs, feeling my cheeks burning.

Mrs. Lemmon: So Christine did he dance with you?
    Me: Who?
The rest of the girls in my french class: HIM!
Me: Oh yeah, him. Yeah. we danced.
    Mrs. Lemmon: Does Meg know?
Me: No, I dont think so.
Mrs. Lemmon: Great! Savannah and I were totally rooting for you. We were both like "Come on! One of you ask each other to slow dance!" And then we realized Meg was right behind us because she said "Who do you want to dance with eachother?" and we both looked at each other and like read eachothers minds that we had to keep her as far away form the dance floor as possible so you could get your dance. So you got your dance right? We didnt have a chance to spy on you because we were keeping her distracted.
Me: Yes I got my dance. And you want to know the best part? The song that was playing has been my favorite slow song for over a year now, and-
Mrs Lemmon: And now it's your song! AWW thats so cute!
Angelica: You guys better have that song at your wedding.
Me: Wow, who said anything about marriage here?
Sam: Come on Christine, my brother is totally in love with you!
Mrs. Lemmon: It's true. Wow you two are going to have some special kids. Theyll be just as clumsy as you and just as fragile as him. He better have some good health insurance.
My french class. No, just, no.
