I found a note today,
it was one that I had written to myself
around this time last year.
It said,
"I hope 2014 was good...I hope you're okay. You can do this."
And honestly, 2014 was the year I really found myself. I found out who my friends were, what I valued most, and how to keep my head up no matter what. I lost people, but I gained many more, and I am so grateful for that. I have grown as a person and when I look back at where I was a year ago, I realize that I have come from a very dark place to somewhere lightyears away. I radiate. I am confident and happy and I don't care about what people think anymore. I used to be super critical of myself and how people percieved me, and it basically ruled my life. Now I just do me, and I'm happy with that. So, past me, I'm okay. I am so very okay, and 2014 was phenomenal. I did it.
