Dear Past Love,
Oh God, my love. What can I say? I'm crying, and my soul has
cried everyday you've been missing from me. I'd cross
oceans and slay dragons just to feel my fingers wrapped up with
yours. But now I understand. We were at the right place at the
wrong time. Two kids in the dead heat of July, running and dancing
through a feild, our laughs floating up to heaven. In the barn
towards midnight, sitting in your car, kissing and exploring, with
our little goldfish we won; Pedro, in between us. You gave me the
most joyful day of my life, and also the gift of having a love that
changed me. Children arent meant to fall in love, but oh boy, did
we prove them wrong. You promised me the world, and gave me Heaven,
darling. And we all know Heaven can't live on Earth. We were
too young, too pure, too beautiful to live here; a world filled
with noise and hate. The way I see it, our love grew wings and left
us and this Earth to be in a place it could survive. But I still
feel it, in the very fibers of my being. In my soul. Our love is
eternal and it will be ours again. Maybe in some other life, but
we'll see it again.
