Irresistable
chapter one
I let
myself free of the black dress that clinged to my clammy skin.
The fabric hits the floor and I sigh in comfort when the steam
from the shower hits my body. I quickly walk into the shower,
smiling when all of the tension in my body seems to leave as the
heat runs against it.
I soak in the warm water before cleaning myself. The water shuts
off and I wrap a towel around me.
I frown in annoyance when my phone starts to buzz against the
sink.
I still didn't tell you what I needed to. I'll be
over in 10 minutes. It's really important. - Zayn
I sigh and place the phone back on the counter. I roam through my
closet and lazily throw on some sweatpants and a loose
t-shirt.
I hear rows of knocks on the door and I run to it whilst tying my
hair in a bun.
"Zay-" My ability to talk seems to cease when I see the
familiar brown eyes look into mine.
"Wrong guy." Liam smiles and welcomes himself
in.
I pray that he can't hear my rapid heart beat. I shove my
sweaty hands into the pockets of my sweats and suddenly feel
insecure about my lazy appearance.
"Uh, err sorry."
"About?" He sits on the couch and rests his head on one
of the way mix-matched pillows.
"I don't exactly look nice." I stand awkwardly by
the door like it is a complete strangers apartment.
His eyes dart open and look at me like I was a child that he had
lost. "You look amazing."
My heart races at his comment but I soon ignore it. He was only
trying to be nice.
"So what's up?" My fingers twirl at the loose
string of fabric that hangs from my shirt. My force on the string
gets stronger as the silence grows.
"I had fun tonight." He leaves the comfort of the couch
and walks gracefully towards me.
"Yeah. You and Charlotte looked like you guys were having a
ball."
He closes the distance between us and puts the loose strands of
my wet hair behind my ear.
"I had fun because I got to see you."
His warm breath tingles teasingly on my lips.
"What are you saying?"
Without warning, he presses his mouth against mine. My eyes widen
in shock but quickly close in complete bliss. My mind loses all
good judgement when my fingers run through his brown hair.
A loud series of knocks on the door sends us back to reality. He
quickly pulls away from me and runs down the
hall.
"Zayn this isn't a good
time."
Zayn ignores my comment and walks passed me. He sits in the exact
same spot Liam did just moments before. I get frequent glances
towards the hall, just to make sure Liam is out of
sight.
"I don't like you."
"Wow, thanks." I frown in confusion and somewhat anger.
I just met Zayn a few hours ago.
"Not like that. I mean that I have no feelings for
you."
"Well who do you have feelings for?"
"Charlotte."
