“Thanks so much, mum,” I grinned.
“Is Justin going to take you home?”
“Yeah,” I told her.
“Alright then, be safe. Bye.” Justin had texted me back, telling me he had just got out of a movie and they were at a pizza shop now. My mum agreed to take me and for that, I was glad. I walked into the small pizza shop and automatically spotted Justin and Mr Parker, close by Courtney, Sasha, Rachel and Jasmine were sitting on a table together. I had texted Grace to come but she had said she was baby sitting her little cousin.
“Guess who?” I said, in a deep voice covering Justin's eyes with my hands.
“I don't know, an old paedophile with soft and small hands?” He asked, sarcastically.
“Damn, you caught me,” I groaned.
“Logan!” I heard a familiar voice chirp, Courtney. The rest of the girls followed.
“Hey girls,” I smiled.
“What are you doing here?” Jasmine hissed.
“Nothing,” I said, innocently. “You all have met Justin, right?” I asked, signalling to the guy who was poking my arm. We had always played a game, whoever could let the other poke them for the longest without getting annoyed won. I always lost.
“Yes, of course,” Sasha said.
“Okay, I'm hungry.”
“Of course you are,” Justin muttered and I hit his arm. “I mean, what would you like, darling?” I smiled, happily.
“Uh... a BBQ chicken pizza,” I said. Mr Parker and Justin both ordered, the girls going back to their table, glaring at me.
“I don't think this a good idea,” Mr Parker said. “If someone saw us, they'd think bad things.”
“Relax a little, Justin is practically my brother so see it as an annoying little sister tagging along with her brother and his friend,” I shrugged.
Once we had finished eating, we all got into Justin's car, me in the back. I was behind Justin so I started poking his arm. After a couple of minutes, Justin exclaimed, “Logan! Stop!”
“I win,” I said, childly. Sh/t, shouldn't I start acting more mature around Mr Parker? How was I supposed to act mature? Justin stopped at a gas station.
“You two wait in here, I just need to go get petrol.” Great, I was in the car alone with Mr Parker. It was so awkward, the tension was so thick it could be cut with a knife.
“So,” I started, unsure of what to say. “I heard you and Justin went to the say University.”
“Yeah, are you and Justin close?”
“Yes, Mr Parker,” I said mentioning his name without thinking. I bet now he was remembering that he was my teacher and this was totally not appropriate.
“Zach,” He said.
“Pardon?”
“My name's Zach, call me Zach outside of school.”
