yesterday, 6 o'clock, after not wishing her a happy birthday the whole day not speaking to her at all, out on her porch, i rung the doorbell & she was shocked when she opened the door, finding me with my guitar, in a suit, with a rose, she was in her bunny pajamas, with a comfy shirt, hair in a bun, she was perfect so i started strumming & directing her to her porch swing...
me: -finished singing niall's solo in little things-
my crush (emily): ... -eyes teary & ready to cry-
me: i've meant to tell you i've liked you since day one..
on the playground when you were stacking blocks & i was playing with chalk my heart got big. when i saw you in 5th grade with all the boys wanting to be your boyfriend, i cried when i went home. i remember in 8th grade you told me i was your best friend as you held hands with Robert my heart broke. our first year as freshman i helped you with all your homework, "study buddies" i remember you saying. & now sophmore year you were calling me on the telephone saying about how robert was cheating, i remember rushing over there, & i grabbed your head as you cried in my chest i knew i had to tell you. 2 weeks ago i decided how, by singing you your favorite part of your favorite song.
emily: sam... -her eyes were so filled with water- -she just leaned in & kissed my cheek-
me: now take this rose, & i will promise i wont hurt you.
emily: -still speechless-
me: & come with me on a date this saturday, i asked your mum & she said yes. don't worry about when i travel to the states, i'll call you every night.
emily: i love you. i just never realized how much until now
me: me too. i've always know.

i left then & she held the rose close to her heart, i couldn't help but smile all the way home
