yeaah. It's definitely about this. It wasn't cremation because they didn't have that then. They put the dead bodies in piles because there were too many dying that they couldn't give proper burials, but this just caused more people to get the plague. Goodness, the things we learn in school when we actually pay attention D:

yes. pockets full of posey (they used flowers and other scented things to ward of the disease-which didn't work), ashes, ashes (them creamating the bodies) we all fall down (death)

ring around the rosey - you got a red ring on the back of your hand when you got the plague, and then you had 24 hours to live after that.
