''I promise you'll love it,'' he smiled a breathtaking smile at me. I loved him, I loved him a lot.
''I'm sure I will, what's the occasion? Its no one's birthday or an-''
''Do I need a special occasion to treat my girlfriend to dinner?'' he asked.
''Nop,'' I replied popping the 'P'. ''I'm so excited, I get to start working tomorrow.'' I had been going university to be a high school teacher for the past five years and tomorrow was my first day at work.
''I'm excited for you, Ava,'' he told me. We arrived at a fancy restaurant ten minutes later. ''You mentioned this place last week, so I thought why not.'' I smiled.
''Awesome! Let's go in.'' I flattened my black dress and we entered the restaurant and went to the front desk. I hummed as he got our reservations and we took a seat at our table.
''Hello, I'm Jamie and I'll be your waitress for the evening, here are your menus, can I get you anything to drink?'' A lady in her late-twentines asked with a bored expression on her tanned face.
''I'll have a water,'' I said.
''And I'll have a coke,'' he told her. We talked as our food came, soon we were waiting for our desert.
''I love you,'' I blurted out randomly.
''I love you too.''
''Good.''
Suddenly he dropped to one knee, he was holding a small box with a diamond ring inside. Bystanders gasped and some even 'awhed' when they saw him. ''Avalaya, baby, I love you. I always have, we've been together for 3 years now and I'm ready to take the next step, I want you to be mine, so Ava, will you marry me?'' Happy tears flooded my eyes.
''Yes, yes, yes!'' I cried out, happily. He slipped the ring onto my finger and put his lips to mine. The people around us cheered and I smiled into the kiss.
After we finished at the restaurant, we drove to our new apartment and as we walked in, he turned me around and kissed me. We got ready for bed and lay in bed.
'You are so beautiful,'' he murmured looking into my eyes. '''I love you.''
''I love you too.''
''I can't wait for you to be mine,'' he smiled.
''Me either.''
''Then I won't need to worry about anybody thinking they could have you.'' Before I could reply he put his lips to mine, his tongue swiping my bottom lip before entering my mouth. We had been making out for a good twenty minutes before we separated.
''Good night,'' I said sleepily.
''Night, Avalaya.''
Before drifting off to sleep I muttered, ''I can't wait to be Mrs Marco Loket.''
