TheDevilMurderedMe.
Chapter Twenty-two.
Tabitha's P.O.V.
The red stain was rapidly growing on my
shirt. I didn't know where I had been hit but I looked
over at Anna frightened. I felt so numb, as if I was given
a numbing medicine. I kept running, I didn't want to
die. I wanted to live, and It was going to happen. I looked
back to see the woman had stopped running. She looked warn
out, but she was aiming the gun right at us. When I heard
the bullet go off I grabbed Anna and veered left off and
out of her sight. I felt the bullet buzz right past the
back of my head while I was turning, and I felt my heart
race pick up, realizing that that one bullet could have
just ended my life, ended everything.
I couldn't stop running. It was like my legs were on a
tredmill. You know how, you get on one of those things and
you CAN'T STOP WALKING, or you'll fall off.
That's how it was. I was determined to get as far away
as possible. My vision was blurry a little like I was going
to black out. That didn't stop me from running, though.
I'd run until I collapsed. My legs were already numb, I
figured it would be any time. I looked over at Anna, seeing
that she was tired too. I didn't even want to look down
at my shirt, I didn't want to know where I had gotten
shot. "Where... are... we.., Anna?" I asked her
after every breath. She looked around. "I'm not
sure.. I've never been in these woods before." I
felt so hopeless. I knew we were going to end up dead if we
didn't keep moving. I looked up in the sky, and seen a
sunset burning orange and yellow in the distance. I looked
around me again, seeing that there was no openings in
sight. I started talking to Anna again, who was looking
down at my shirt. It looked like the blood was starting to
dry, and I could feel my shirt sticking to my skin. I
figured if I hadn't bled out anymore it couldn't
have been too bad. Anna turned her head to the right and
let out a big goofy grin. "TABITHA LOOK!" I
looked and seen a small opening that led to a street. I
have never felt so happy. I began to run and felt my
feet hit soft dirt and realized there was a trail. I ran
into the the opening, and out onto the street, looking
around I recognized nothing. "I KNOW WHERE I AM!"
And screamed a whisper to me. "I don't." I
said, sadly. "We're right by Callend Street."
"Wait... That's not far from my house! We've
been by my house this whole time!" We started to
sprint. "If you can get my to Callend Street, I can
make it to my house." She started to run towards the
end of the street, taking another right. In front of us was
a long twisty road. "At the end of this street to the
left is Callend street."
It seemed like forever to get to the end of Slinret Road,
when we got there I turned left towards Callend. "My
streets right ahead!" We stopped running to catch
ourbreath but I realized that my adrenaline had just kicked
in and I started to run again, Anna next to me. I turned
onto my street, and in front of my house was three cop
cars. I started to run faster, my side was acheing. I
reached it to my house, and ran through the door. I
collapsed before I got the chance to talk. My side was
acheing. I couldn't catch my breath. I heard a cop
scream "GET A AMBULANCE HERE NOW, THIS GIRL ISN'T
GOING TO MAKE IT!" I heard my moms familiar voice when
she sounded like she was about to cry. I heard her began to
talk into the phone as the three police officers, I assume,
were lifting me to the couch. "Please get here now my
daughter has been shot!"
