i was leaning my weight on the counter i was behind. someone cleared there throat but softly not to sound rude. i turned around.
"can i get a cup of coffee please." the man said
"you certainly can." i said with a smile and went to the coffee maker and poured a cup of coffee. i set it down carefully for him and he smiled up at me and then walked over to his table. i smiled. then i continued to lean on the counter looking into the kitchen window. then Debbie came walking past me.
"he misses me Deb." i whined and dragged my feet over to her.
"yeah, well when i walked past them i had to use all my strength not to wipe out on purpose and spill my hot coffee all over them two." she said i laughed
"shes nice.." i said shrugging
"yeah for a nerd saint.." she said i laughed harder
"what happened to "don't judge or make fun of the customers" ?" i said she chuckled
"i was about to kill them.. all im saying.." she said and walked away laughing. i laughed and then walked over to the window since the bell rang. i checked the slip and it was for Brett's table. i walked over and then set the plates down.
"you sure you dont want anything Brett?" i asked
"sure." he said convincingly and looked out the window at the traffic
"alright well.. enjoy guys.." i said and walked away. then Tony walked over to me.
"break." i said as soon as he opened his mouth. he looked at me and then walked away. i smirked and then walked over to my original table and collected the tip and bill payment and then walked back to the cash register and then walked to the staff room. then took off my apron and took out my phone and my dinner. then Tara walked back here.
"Tony says you can go.. oh, and heres your tip from Brett's table.." she said and handed me the money and a napkin.
"what's this?" i asked
"i don't know, it was folded up and the money was inside it." she said
"want me to come pick you up after you get out?" i asked cleaning up.
"nah, im staying over my aunts house, big day tomorrow! hopefully i get out early enough for a good sleep.." she said
"i know! when you can text me directions to your aunts house and ill drive you to Dartmouth so you don't have to go on the plane.." i said gathering my stuff
"thanks.. you know how i get with planes.. let alone planes That small!" she said i laughed and hugged her and shoved the napkin in my purse and then walked out
"bye Deb!" i whined. she laughed and gave me a big hug and i waved to all my co-workers and walked out of the diner. i texted my brother since he wanted me to when i got out. then i drove off. no one was texting me. and that was weird.. i decided id ignore it. when i finally got home it was dark inside.. i shrugged and took out my key and then went inside. no one was home. i walked upstairs and got changed. then i walked downstairs and Krissy was sitting in the kitchen looking down. and her hair was in front of her face...it was kinda scary since shes never like that.. i ignored it. i walked out back and i saw blood in the pool i nearly fainted.. my vision was spinning.. i grabbed my head to stop from spinning and being dizzy and saw Krissy wasn't sitting.
"Krissy?" i called scared and worried.. no one answered. i grabbed my phone and called my dad
"Leave." was all he said
"what?" i said confused
"leave the house.. now." he said more serious..
"why.. daddy, what's wrong.." i asked scared. and grabbed my keys.. and slipped on my sneakers and walked out of the house and into the car.
"go to someone's house that Krissy cant drive to.." he said and then hung up the phone.. friends? i have no friends in florida.. inhaled deeply.. then jumped and screamed when i saw krissy in the window of the house looking down.. uh.. what the hell.. i sped off not thinking of where i was driving to till i was in the driveway.. instincts.. why the hell did you bring me here.. i looked up at Brett's house.. since i always saw this place as my safe haven.. i exhaled deeply and then got out of the car.. and got the guts to ring the door bell..
"ISABELLE!!!!" Rachelle screamed at the top of her lungs
"Rachelle!" i said excited..
"why you here huney boo.." she asked curious
"Sister gone sysco, dad not making sence.." i said
"sounds like normal..." she said i laughed
"Brett and miss saint no sin and Nathan are in his room..." she said i laughed hard at Hopes nickname..
"are you sleeping over.. if you are sleep in my room ill give you an outfit and suitcase of clothes for you.." she said hopefully.. i laughed
"well it looks like im not going home.." i said she jumped a bunch of times
"we needa go to the beach.." she said
"ok, wanna go?" i asked.. i didn't really wanna go in Brett's room.
"YES!" she screamed i laughed and then she ran me into her room and gave me a bathing suit..
"you look HOT" she said surprised and then she slipped sunglasses ontop of my head.. i smiled and then grabbed one of her sweat shirts and then we walked in the hall.
"Rachelle.. whos here it sounded like you said Isabelle.. Isabelle?!" he said surprised and breathless.. Nate just hung his moth open in awe. i smirked
"we got a beach we needa make hotter.. so if you boys don't mind," Rachelle said. i laughe and then we walked downstairs and out the door. she was asking me tons of questions as we walked down to the middle of the block and threw the tunnel and then we sat down our towels.
