    two sides to every story.
    part 23.
    6 years later.
    Leslie's POV
"I'm messing this up!!" Natalie sighed stressfully, from behind me. I looked up at her through the mirror.
"I think it looks fine.. you're doing a good job." I smiled. She huffed, but continued.
"LESLIE!" Jamie squealed, sneaking through the door.
"way to be late." I sarcastically rolled my eyes.
"I blame John.." She sighed, rolling her eyes. She hung up her coat and purse, then walked over to me and Natalie. They both continued doing my hair as my mom and other friends were all in the room talking to me.
"time to put the dress on!!" my aunt said walking in the room with the bag. Everyone stood up and helped me into it.
"you look breath taking.." Natalie said, finishing one last piece of my hair, then smiling.
"gorgeous.." Jamie smiled. I rolled my eyes, not taking anyone elses complements well either. I asked everyone but Jamie to go out and make sure everyone was here, and keep themselves busy, since we were super duper early.
"is he here yet." I asked looking down at my dress.
"yup.." She said, nodding. Then went behind me and placed my necklace around my neck and hooked it on for me.
"I don't understand either of you honestly..." She sighed confused, as she straightened it out, and starred at me through the huge mirror.
"I blame Jesse.." I laughed lightly.
"he.. wants to see you.. want me to go get him.." She asked. I starred at her with wide eyes.
"I'll be in the room too stupid." she rolled her eyes.
"please... I don't wanna be alone.. I'll flip out, cry, and not marry Vincent." I said, as I felt my blood pressure, and body temperature rise all at once just thinking about Jesse. She left quickly, and I heard her heels echoing down the hall as she hussled. I paced around with nerves, then slipped into my heels to keep myself occupied as I waited. I stood on the petistool, and spun around looking at me in the long, heavy, sparkling white gown.
"knock.." Jesse laughed walking in. I rolled my eyes with a chuckle.
"damn, you look gorgeous." He said with wide eyes, just starring at me. I laughed and shrugged, and starred at my reflection.
"take a compliment goof." He rolled his eyes.
"It's kind've hard when I'm not fully happy with everything.." I said under my breath.
"I'm not happy with it either, but there isn't much we can do about it." He sighed.
"you could've fought for me a little, talked to my parents, talked to Xavier, but no. You just let me slip away without saying a word. You let my parents win, and now look where we are." I nearly screamed. I heard the whole church grow quiet.
    "calm down.." he whispered.
"kind've hard to do when the guy I love more than my fiance doesn't love me back, and I can't get over him for the life of me." I said and then stormed out of the room.
"Leslie!" Jamie scolded in a whisper.
"What" I said about to cry.
"you better not cry.." she scolded again, as we heard the choir singing and the pastor making his speech.
"I can't do this.." I said and ran down the stairs to the back of the church and walked outside, and started walking through the parking lot. I heard the door quickly close, and footsteps running after me.
"you are not gunna be a run away bride just because of me.." Jesse sighed, standing infront of me.
"that should be you, with all of your best men in there, and waiting for me down that aisle, NOT Vinny." I said firmly.
"I think we both know that, but we both also know that your parents, nor your whole family would allow that.." he sighed.
"you think I care? if they don't respect who I love and want to spend the rest of my life with, then I shouldn't call them my family, let alone my parents." I sighed.
"well, I'm not going to be the reason why my wife doesn't have any contact with her family. I want a family blessing if I marry someone.. you hear what they say about me, and to me whenever we're in the same room.. they say it right infront of me." He said stressfully.
"your family loves Vinny, you love Vinny, go marry him. You must love him if you agreed to marry him... yah goof.." he smiled amusedly. I rolled my eyes, a smile slowly appearing. He chuckled, then we jogged to the front of the church and he made it just in time to walk in with the rest of Vinny's best men, and I walked over to my bridesmaids.
"you ok?" Jamie whispered. I nodded quickly, then we walked upstairs and they started walking in. My dad walked up next to me, and linked arms with me.
"you don't like Vinny... do you..." he said slowly, and heart broken.
"I do.." I lied, trying to sound convincing.
"I saw you with..... Jesse." He said, sounding like it took everything he had in him to speak his name.
    "you did.." I asked shyly.
"mhm, if you liked him so much, then why didn't you fight us about it, me and your mother would've gotten over it, and dealt with him after awhile.." He shrugged.
"because, I was so tired of the fighting that was already going on with Xavier, and you and mom that I just couldn't take anymore, let alone want to start more fights about Jesse.." I explained. He just nodded slowly, then It was our turn to walk in, and I held my breath. We walked in slowly. He walked me up next to Vinny as my mind went racing about him, my parents, and Jesse. I sighed and he took my hands, and rubbed them with his thumb as we concentrated on the priest.

    two sides to every story.
    part 21.
"So are you guys dating, or not." John asked as we walked up to the concession stand to get snacks. Me and Leslie looked at each other.
"I'm.. dating Cameron." She sighed, cleared her throat then looked away. I looked at John.
"that's a no." I confirmed. He just nodded slowly.
"what do you want.." I asked Leslie, looking around.
"I can pay.." She said, looking in her bag.
"Just tell me what you want." I sighed.
"No, you bought dinner, I can pay for myself." She argued. I just nodded, not wanting to make a fight out of it.
"do you want anything?" She offered as she moved up to the cashier.
"nope, I'm good." I sighed. She just smiled, and started telling the women her order.
"walk with me.." John said, and pushed me away, and we started walking to the usher, to give him our tickets.
"do you wanna date her." He asked, as we waited for the girls, up against a wall. I looked around, making sure she wasn't around.
"yeah, but I needa know more about her first." I shrugged. He just nodded, understandingly.
    "why.." I asked curiously.
"because she does, so.. I just wanted to know, she never fully moved on, she just wanted you to think she did." He explained. I just nodded, taking it all in, but not fully understanding it.
"who?" Jamie asked curiously, leaning her head on Johns shoulder, and looking up at him, then over to me.
"nobody." John shrugged with a smile. He kissed her forehead then walked us over to the usher, then we walked to the theater. Once we got out of the movie, Jamie and John barely knew what the movie was even about because they were too busy making out.
"can you take me home now?" Leslie asked, with a half smile. I nodded, we said bye to Jamie and John, then walked out to my car.
"you ok?" I asked worriedly as I started driving her to her house.
"they just...." she trailed off, and looked out her window.
    "they just?" I asked slowly.
"they make jealous." she nearly screamed.
"then.. that jealousy, makes me sad, then that saddness makes me depressed. Cause.. me and Cameron are NEVER like that.. and they just remind me of how me and you used to be.." She sighed, then slammed her head against the head rest of her passenger seat. I pulled over and she just had her hands over her face.
"have you ever told Cameron about this.. how you're mad that you and him don't act like how you want him and you to act.." I asked slowly. She shook her head "No" I sighed.
"well you need to.. and if he doesn't understand how you feel, he isn't worth your time.." I said, and just starred at her. She nodded, and slowly moved her hands away. She looked at me with a wet, teary face, and a frown. I gave her a smile, and she just chuckled lightly. She took out her phone and called Cameron. They had a fight, and she ended up breaking up with him. I hugged her for awhile as she cried about it, then I drove her to her house.
"come in?" she asked, as she starred at her dark house. Nobody was home. I agreed, she led us upstairs and she put her bag down, and starred at herself in her mirror.
"you were seriously able to look at me and not make fun of me, while I looked like this.." She asked, and started whipping her face with a tissue.
"yeah, I was more focused on you being so upset, than how you looked.." I shrugged, then layed down on her bed. She grabbed clothes and walked out to the bathroom. I took out my phone and texted Jamie, since she had texted me, asking about Leslie. We were talking as Leslie was in the bathroom doing whatever. She came out in sweats, a huge sweat shirt, and her hair up.
"this sweat shirt look familiar?" she asked, laughing.
"not at all.." I confessed while laughing, and looking at her. She stuck her tongue out.
"well it's yours.. or was.." She laughed, then walked back to her mirror. A couple minutes she walked over to me and sat down next to me.
"you know what John asked earlier.." She asked, looking down at her blanket.
"yeah.." I said slowly, looking at my phone.
"well.. I wanna date you... badly, but I don't want to if you still like Lydia.." She said, then I looked up at her.
"I don't... I have no idea why she was all I wanted once I woke up.. and I have no idea why I don't remember our past... but I started liking you, rather quickly by knowing you for such a short time.." I sighed.
"do you wanna go out?" I asked. She smiled and nodded a million times, then she bent down and we kissed. It was a long kiss, then that grew into us starting to make out. AFter a couple minutes, we stopped and we started talking. After an hour, I left and went home right before her parents came home.
    a couple months later.
I eventually remembered everything about Leslie and our past, and that just made us even closer than we already were, and we had gotten closer than we were even before my accident. I never once returned to that block, or raced, or even drank after that accident. we're all still in school, it isn't graduation day yet. I walked through school wondering where Leslie was, since we usually met up in the morning, then I walked her to her first class, then we'd meet in lunch, then I'd walk her to english. I continued on with the day, confused. I never got a text from her or anything, and that's unusual for her, and us in general. Once it was finally lunch, I sat in our usual table, starring at the doors, waiting for Leslie to come, she never did.
"She's not here." Jamie said, eating her sandwich.
"where is she?" I asked confused.
"no clue, she wouldn't tell me.. she stayed home from school. I usually drive her in the morning, and you drive her home, and when I got to her house this morning, I called her, and she said that she wasn't coming to school... but refused to tell me why. She sounded wide awake, and perfectly healthy. She defiantly wasn't ok, emotional wise, like she was sniffling, so she was crying, but she didn't sound sick or anything.." Jamie explained, then shrugged. I nodded, and then left the school, since I had senior privelege, we could leave during lunch, and free periods. I drove to her house with Jamie, since I didn't want to go alone. I parked outside her house, and called her.
    "hi." She said shyly.
"look out your window." I smiled. She groaned, then I saw her blinds bend down.
"are you crazy.." she nearly screamed. I laughed.
"I'm coming outside.." She sighed annoyed, then hungup. I got out of the car, and Jamie refused to. I walked up to her front door, and I wrapped her in a hug as soon as she walked outside.

    two sides to every story.
    part 18.
"Leslie!" I called, jogging after her later that day. She turned around on her heel, effortlessly, and gracefully.
"so, do you have time to talk? I'll walk you home." I offered. She thought about it, biting her lip, then simply nodded. We walked out of the school, and I followed her in the direction of her house.
"how'd you know I walk... do you remember?" She said, her eyes lit up with excitement.
"no... not yet." I sighed. She looked down, and nodded.
"I just.. didn't see a set of keys in your hands.. like everyone else.. so I just kinda figured.." I shrugged. She just nodded, looking at her notebook.
"so.. what did you wanna talk about?" She asked, and looked up me for a split second.
"I uh, was curious about why you ran off, today, during lunch." I said cautiously. Not wanting to upset her, like she was during lunch.
"I..uh. Already explained it to you once..." she sighed, then looked up at me alarmed.
"I SO did not mean that.. I'm sorry." She said quickly after. Then muttered something under breath to herself. I chuckled with a shrug.
"it's fine. No harm done." I smiled. She just nodded.
"My, uh. Brother had a drinking problem, so my mom kicked him out of the house. Then instead of getting help, him a couple of friends ran away to New York together, and stole kids on their way there." She sighed.
"but, when I told you the first time, you failed to tell me that you were one of them." She said, and looked up at me.
"well... I was probably shocked that someone so innocent could be related to someone so cruel. Your brother and his friends, beat us, killed kids, killed animals, without seeing a problem with, and without feeling guilty. I don't know how I reacted then, but right now I'm confused how you and him could be so completley different." I sighed. She just nodded. She cleared her throat before answering her buzzing phone.
"hi." She answered with a smile.
"no, I'm walking. Yup, Mhm, ok. See yah. Bye" She sighed, and put her phone away.
"so, how's... Lydia." She asked, in a pained voice.
"pretty good I guess, I don't know. I haven't talked to her in awhile, because my mom took all my electronics away for being an idiot and getting into the accident, and sneeking out." I sighed. She nodded with a chuckle.
"how are you getting home.. cause I doubt you remember your way back." She said laughing.
"I have no idea." I said, just realizing that she was right.
"once we get to my house, I'll drive you." She smiled. I thanked her.
"how's.. Cameron." I asked. My body tensed with anger, when I said his name.
"he's alright. He usually drives me, so he was just worried if I was ok, and everything." she sighed. I just nodded.

    part 17.
"anything?" I asked, while everyone's heads were each dug into a book about memory loss.
"nope. None of the things they describe is what you have. None of the books tell you what to do if you only forget about ONE person in your life. They all include forgetting everything, or just your past, or certain specific things like that. Not, remembering everything, but one certain person..." George sighed. Then I saw Cameron and Leslie walking together past the library, laughing and talking to each other. I clenched my jaw and just glared at them.
"Calm down Jessie, no need to get so worked up over this.." Jamie sighed. I just shrugged.
    -months later-
after that insident in the library and in the caferteria, Leslie and Cameron started dating. I dispised them being together, and my teeth gritted together when ever I saw them.
"time to move on." Jeremey said while I was glaring at them as I was eating my sanwich.
"how. My worst enemey, is dating the girl who I was supposedly dating." I said. John rolled his eyes, Jamie was half asleep on his arm, so she was no help.
"you needa get over them being together. It's been two months." John sighed. I just shrugged.
"will you approve if me and George find you a new girlfriend." he sighed again.
"depends." I said slowly. He glared at me.
    "on?" he asked.
"who she is, how old she is, what she's like... I don't know." I shrugged. He nodded.
"Trust me. We'll find you someone good. Right George?" he said. George nodded. I pursed my lips, thinkingly.
"fine." I nodded. They instantly started talking about suggestions together.
"After we got tired of being there, we left, and went on a walk into the commons.
"Hey!, Jessie!" Someone called behind us.
"Stop.." A girl demanded. I turned around anyway, and I faced with Cameron and Leslie.
"Cameron.. lets leave." She nearly whispered. I could see pain in her face, but he refused.
"so, guess what I found on the internet the other day." He said amusedly. All my friends turned around, and walked up behind me.
"what's your deal man? just leave him alone. Go back to your own business. Don't start things." John said walking next to me. Cameron pulled out a sheet of paper from his draw string backpack, and started reading.
"four kids found in New York. Jessie Drew, Lydia Mason, Abby Lynn, and Lindsey Hemminger. They were held captive for 14 years in an un-known residence, by four guys Xavier Cooper....- He trailed off quickly and just looked down at Leslie. She looked up at him alarmed, and confused.
"you..?" He asked. She pointed to herself, even more confused.
"Leslie.." Jamie said slowly. She looked at Jamie, and they ran off together.
"this was supposed to hurt you. Not her." He declared.
"well.. that's your problem, I guess." I shrugged, not sure what else he wanted me to say.
"What's that supposed to mean?" He snarled.
"that I'm not the one trying to hurt someone by making fun of them of their past, and end up hurting my girlfriend. That's all your doing.." I shrugged with an amused smile.
"whipe that smirk off your face Drew.." he snarled again, stepping closer to me.
"Cameron.. just get outta his face.. and walk away. Go find your girl man." George said walking over to him. He inhaled deeply, glared at me, and stormed off. I looked at the guys and just starred back.
"were you really kidnapped for 14 years like he said..?" Jeremey asked. I nodded. Everyone got silent.
"why have you never told any of us?" John asked
"it.. just never came up in conversation, so i never mentioned it.. it was just too personal. Leslie probably didn't even know. I don't know why she ran off.. but the only person who know was Lydia, because she was there with me, and obviously my family knew, but that's it." I explained. They all nodded understandingly.
"if you ever needa talk... we're all here for you, and Jamie, and probably even Leslie, if you choose to confide in her. I'm sure she'd understand, and even be happy you would trust her by telling her. I think she ran off, because that Xavier guy, and her have the same last name. I'm not sure if that's her brother though, it could be a cousin or something... you never know." George shrugged. I nodded, taking his suggestion into consideration.

    part 16.
    -Weeks Later.-
    Jessie's POV.
Natalie is mad at me, for not remembering the girl Leslie. She doesn't understand that I could forget someone that easily. I literally have no memory of her. It's not my fault though, I didn't choose who I was going to forget, and who I was going to remember. Today is my first that back into school. I got dropped off, because I'm still not able to drive yet, by doctors orders. I walked into school, and people gave me sympathy looks, a few people hugged me. I remembered all of them, I even remembered the people I hated the most. How is it possible that I remember all that, but not the girl who is supposed to be my girlfriend?
"Hey." John greeted with a friendly smile, I grinned back.
"you ok?" he asked raising his eyebrows, I nodded, as my eyes wondered over to Leslie who was concentrated on talking to her friend she was with, and doing some worksheet. Why in the world can't I remember her?
"hey... man.. don't.. beat yourself up over this.." John said slowly.
"I'm dating her, but don't remember her.." I sighed. Her friend nodded towards me, and Leslie slowly looked over. Her eyes lit up, but she bit her quivering lip, and walked off with her friend into a classroom. My heart sank.
"Dude..." John trailed off, just as everyone else gathered around us. I pulled Jamie aside and started asking her questions about Leslie, and how we were prior to the accident. She told me everything from then, up untill lunch. Since we had every class together.
"oh my god.." I sighed. Putting my elbows on the table and digging my head in my hands.
"Jessie... it's fine." Jamie said soothingly.
"no wonder why she's so heart broken. I mean... you told me all that stuff, and for me not to remember any of it?" I sighed.
"It's not your fault." She said sternly.
"I know that but.." I couldn't finish. My train of thought was cut off by the sight of the guy I hate the most, Cameron, walking over to Leslie, and starting to talk to her. Jamie noticed how tense I got, and looked in the direction I was looking at. She just jogged out of the caferteria in a hurry. Once she got back, she had Jeremey and John with her.
    "come on.." John insisted.
"where are we going." I asked.
"leaving." he said sharply. I followed him out and we went into the library. I looked at him confused, as we walked down asisles, and asisles of books.
"what are we doing." I whispered.
"going to find a cure for whatever curse you have." George said, reading the barcodes on the shelves.
"It's not a curse, It's memory loss." I said confused.
"hush. It's a curse my friend." George insisted. I shrugged, not wanting to fight with him.
"anything that makes you forget about Leslie Cooper, Is a curse." He said, John smiled, and Jamie chuckled.

I wasn't sure if he was giving me a horrible hug, or trying to keep me warm as it started snowing. After a couple minutes of me crying, and him just humming some song, and having his arms around me, everyone came out side and walked over to us.
"why can't anyone be happy? Jessie remembers everyone, and he's fine. We should be happy." Jeremey sighed.
"Everyone?!" I screamed, and stood up.
    "Yes. Everyone." Jeremey repeated.
"So.. I'm no one? I must be. If he remembers everyone, but me." I shrugged.
"well, then I guess you didn't mean anything to him, if he remembers his ex, but not his girl friend." He laughed.
    "JEREMEY" Jamie screamed.
"whatever." I screamed, and started walking away from the hospital.
"you're seriously not walking home are you..?" John yelled, running after me.
    "I am." I confirmed.
"It's more than 7 miles from here to your house." He said. I turned around.
"I don't care, and frankly, neither do any of them." I yelled, motioning my hand to the hospital.
"you're wrong. Jessie cares." He yelled. I sarcastically laughed.
"YEAH the guy who doesn't remember me... Right." I nodded with a glare, and continued walking.
"no.." He sighed and jogged over to me, he stood infront of me and starred at me.
"once you ran out of the room, everyone else left to, I was alone with him, and he said to me, Even though I don't remember her, she seems to really love me. Make sure she's taken care of. Leslie, I promised him. I'm not going to break a promise I just made. If you continue walking, something is bound to happen to you." He sighed.
"Let whatevers meant to happen, happen John. I doubt that Jessie will care all too much If something does at this point in time, considering he doesn't remember one thing about me." I said, and walked past him. Just as I was walking past a driveway, John ran over and tugged me backwards, and a car came flying past us, down the driveway, and it sped off into the distance with a dangerous speed.
"See... you could've freakin DIED Leslie!" He screamed.
"John. I don't FREAKIN care." I screamed back, and got out of his arms, and continued walking. After I got a good foot away from him, I thought he had given up. But, He ran up behind me and threw me over his shoulder. He carried me all the way back to the hospital and locked me in his car. He offered other people a ride, but nobody needed it. He hopped in, and then drove off to my house. I remained silent, and just looked out the window as I saw him taking the longest route to get to my house ever.
"why are you so mad that I'm driving you." he asked.
"cause, I don't need anyones help. I can do things on my own. I'm not 4." I said crossing my arms.
"looking out for your saftey, and treating you like a four year old are two different things Leslie." He sighed.
"ok." I said sarcastically. The rest of the car ride home was very tense between John and I. He tired so many times to convince me that Jessie will remember, I just had to give it time. But, how much time do I have to offer?

    part 14.
"It's normal for someone to do this.. It's not just him.. don't take it personally Leslie.." He said cautiously, noticing my eyes watering up. I just nodded.
"well... atleast he remembers." He sighed. I just nodded, and looked over at Jessie, who seemed much calmer than before.
"guys.." The doctor said to all the other doctors and nurses, then nodded towards the door. They all exited, as I walked over to him.
"you're...you're not Lydia.." Jessie said confused.
"I know that Jessie..." I said slowly. Trying to sound as calm as possible.
"but, they said that they were bringing me Lydia..." He trailed off, and just starred at me, in confusion. It almost seemed like I looked familiar to him, but he couldn't actually name me.
"you have very pretty eyes no name.." He smiled. I chuckled.
    "thanks.." I almost whispered.
"who.... are you." He asked slowly.
"I'm your girlfriend... Leslie." I sighed.
"but.... I'm dating Lydia.." He said, even more confused than before. I dug in my pocket for my phone and pulled up a picture of me and him.
"no you're not Jessie.." I sighed and showed him the picture. He starred at it, but said nothing. He handed me back the phone as everyone walked in. Johnny came over to him first.
"hey, Johnny!" Jessie almost cheered. I looked down, biting my lip, trying not to cry.
"you... remember me?!" Johnny said astonished. Jessie nodded happily.
"I remember all of you.. except... her.." Jessie slowly, and looked over at me with hurt eyes.
"I'm... really sorry.. I.... wish I remembered you... you're very sweet... and beautiful.. but.... I don't know.. I'm dating Lydia.." He shrugged. I inhaled deeply, but couldn't hold it in anymore, I burst. I ran out of the room hysterical. Once I was outside, I sat on a stone bench, bent over, with my head in my thighs, and my hair drapped over my legs. I was crying hysterically with no way to stop.
"Lez!" Johnny screamed,I shot my head up, my hair flying in bunch of different directions. The brisk air must have tinted my cheeks a deep pink by now, and his ears were starting to turn a rosey pink.
"what.." I asked sniffling, and whipping my face with my sweat shirt sleeves.
"I... I'm so sorry he doesn't remember you.." He said slowly, walking over to me.
"It's fine." I said sharply. I wasn't looking for anyone's pitty at this point.
"no It's not. You have gotten closer with him than any other person in this group.. and now I feel like, without him knowing about you, or remembering any of your memories, you're just gunna.... stop being friends with us.." He shrugged.
"can you read minds.." I asked quietly with a light smile. I cleared my throat and threw my hair up in a high pony tail.
    "just about.." he laughed.
"but, just because he doesn't remember you, doesn't mean we don't. We all love you already, Leslie... we.. don't want you leaving, and being alone again.." He said. I just shrugged.
"there's just.. no point in trying.. no matter how many times anyone tells him.. he's just not going to remember me.." I insisted.
"Lies.." He said doubtfully. I just rolled my eyes, and looked away from him.
"stop thinking so negitively." he sighed, frusterated
"sorry. Its kinda hard not to do when my own boyfriend doesnt remember me, but remembers his ex." I yelled. He just starred at me.
"thats who Lydia is?" he said, in a whisper.
"yes!" I yelled again, then instantly started to cry again. He just sat next to me on the bench, and put his arms around me.

    two sides to every story.
    part 13.
"you ok.." Johnny asked as we all walked through the hospital in silence. I just looked up at him with sad eyes, and quickly nodded. They all stood outside the door and I gripped the doorknob tightly.
"I'm not going in alone..." I said looking at everyone.
"babe.. It's better that way... He's your boyfriend... go bond.. We'll come in, in a couple minutes, alright? go.. I don't know.. talk to him." Jamie said lightly putting her hand through my hair, soothingly. I sighed deeply, opened the door, and then lightly closed it behind me and walked over to Jessie's bed. The only sound in the room was his heart monitor. I starred at it for a quick minute or two, then I looked back at his face, his peacful, sleeping face, that has a few scratches and scars on it, that look like will never fade away. I inhaled deeply.
"If you never wake up Jessie... I... I don't know what will happen to me.. to John.. to.... Natalie.." I trialed off. I looked at the ground. I never know what to say to him. I find it weird talking to him, cause he's such a good listener, and speaker, but now he can't do either. Well, he can listen, but not really, he's doing it unconsciencly.. which I don't count as listening. I sighed, and looked away from him.
"It would've been so much easier if you just listened to me, you know that right?" I said slowly.
"but no, you gotta be so stubborn.." I sighed. A light, small smile grew on my lips.
"Good, you're here.." The doctor said walking in. He walked over to the end of the bed, and looked at Jessie's clip board.
"why is it good that I'm here?" I asked confused.
"cause, I've got a situation to discuss with you." He said slowly, examining the clip board intently.
"alright.." I said slowly, out of worryness.
"if, and when, Jessie wakes up. He'll have the slightest chance of returning the same way he was prior to the accident. Meaning that if/when he wakes, he'll have a very small chance of knowing who his family and friends are, how to speak, how to spell, how to count, it'll basically be like taking care of an toddler trapped inside of an 18 year olds body... he'll have to be taught everything from, probably how to go to the bathroom properly to how to walk, ride a bike, anything and everything. He'll have no memory of anything.. It's like taking care of a newborn baby, basically. So, I just wanted to know your opinion on giving him speech therapy. Just teaching him how to talk, and spell correctly. I figured I'd ask you, considering how close you two were, but, if you don't want the job, I'll talk his parents, then seek professional help, if they refuse aswell." He explained.
    "ah-are you serious.." I stuttered.
    "yes, ma'am." He nodded.
"he... he won't remember... a thing..?" I asked. He nodded again, I looked past the doctors shoulder, and starred at Jessie.
"If all goes well, his brain wont be too damage to the point where he forgets Everything, including speech, spelling, etc. He'll just forget peoples names, and their relations to him.. but.. we don't know yet, cause, he's not awake yet." He sighed. I just nodded.
"would I need to take, like, courses, on how to give proper speech therapy?" I asked confused.
"nope, we'll just give you the proper books, papers, and tools needed to teach him properly, and the rest is up to you, and how you want to instruct him." He shrugged with a friendly smile. I nodded slowly.
"I'll think about it.. but I'm not positive yet, you can contact his family while I decide.." I said. He nodded, returned the clip board to the proper location, and then walked out. Once the door closed, everyone walked in.
"what did he have to say?" Johnny asked, walking over to me.
"He said that there is a chance that once Jessie wakes up, he'll forget everything including how to talk, spell, write, walk, ride a bike, go to the bathroom properly, and if that happens, he'll need proper speech therapy and care." I sighed. John inhaled deeply, ran his hand through his hair violently, and started pacing.
"and if that doesn't happen?" He managed to ask through a clenched jaw.
"then he'll forget our names and our relationship to him.. but he'll know how to do everything else." I sighed. He marched out of the room, and slammed the door behind him. I stepped towards the door.
"no. Let him calm down himself, Lez.." Jeremey scolded quickly. I sighed, but nodded. After awhile of us talking to ourselves, and somewhat to Jessie we left to go get food in the caferteria. After we ate, Jeremey left to try and find John, as the rest of us went back to Jessie's room, I was silently stirring my unfinished, vanilla, and rainbow sprinkled ice-cream, I felt Jamie looking at me, I looked up at her.
"I know what you're thinking.." She sighed, disspointingly. I chuckled lightly, doubting her.
"this whole thing is not your fault. You can't blame yourself for Jessie's stubborn-ness, and all of their stupid-ness that night. They were all drunk, you had no part in them drinking, then all getting into that car driven by John.. you had no part in any of it. Even if you say that you could've stopped him, and begged him more, it wouldn't have worked. Jessie is just like that, once he has made up his mind about something, he'll ask people of their opinions.. but wont take no for an answer, if they object." She said then wrapped her arm around me. I just nodded, no one else talked. We walked down the last hallway to Jessie's room when a group of 6 doctors and nurses rushed past us, and sprinted to Jessie's room. We all looked at each other with fear for a split second before we too, sprinted to the room, jsut as we reached the door, it was shut in our face. We all waited around the door for it to open, and for us to be told what is going on. After a couple minutes, his main doctor came out and looked at me, and let me in by myself.
"he woke up, he's little alarmed, he doesn't know where he is, why he's here, but he's screaming for someone named Lydia... does... she have any meaning to you?" he whispered, we were in the corner of the room, I was too focused on trying to think who Lydia was, to even listen to all of his screams.
"um.. can I call someone who might know..?" I asked. He nodded.
"just knock when you're ready to come back in." He said. I nodded, and walked out of the door, I ignored everyone's questions and just walked past them, calling Natalie.
"Hello" She said in a happy voice.
"hey, Nat, can you tell me who Lydia is..." I asked.
"um... why?" She asked slowly, very confused, some what angry.
    "I'm.. just curious.." I chuckled.
"oh, and that was Jessie's ex girlfriend... they went out for a really long time, then was depressed after she broke up with him because she lived in Florida and was moving or something.." She sighed, not interested. I cleared my throat.
"tha-thanks..." I stuttered, walked back to his room, then knocked. I waited for one of the doctors to come back, once he did, I lead him back to the same corner as before and explained to him everything that I knew.

    part 11.
sorry I havent posted in awhile- got alotta stuff on my mind.. hope you enjoy the story so far though! feed back would be loved right now!! :D <3
"they were all in an accident 6:30 this morning. They were all drunk, they were driving home and got hit by a snow plow.." My heart sank. I looked at Jamie.
"are they alive.." I mouthed to her. She shrugged once with tear-full eyes. I concentrated hard on completing my test, once I was done, I handed it in and raced out of the gym. I ran outside to meet up with Jamie who was on the ground crying hysterically.
"Come with me to the hospital.." She managed to speak. I nodded, and offered to drive. She gave me her keys, since I just walk to school to everyday. I texted my dad telling him where I was going, then drove off to the hospital.
"how did you find out they were in an accident?" I asked.
"Johns brother found out, so he told me.." she said between coughs, but then continued crying hysterically. I don't cry infront of people, and if I do it's only a couple of tears streaming down my cheeks, nothing compaired to Jamie right now. I held my composer as best as I could as I was driving down the high way. I had turned on music to help distract the both of us from what we were both thinking. Once we pulled up to the hospital, Jamie cleaned her tear stained cheeks, and put on water proof mascara and then we walked into the waiting room and found all the guys families. I walked over to Jessie's family as Jamie walked to Johns. Natalie was worse than Jamie, and instantly ran over to me. I hugged her tightly, rubbing her back. I sat with Natalie on the floor, she vented to me as everyone was waiting for the doctors to come talk to us, and possibly let us visit the guys. After an hour of waiting, doctors finally explained to all of us what happened, and let us all visit the guys 2 people at a time. Jessie's mom chose me and Natalie go in first. She held onto my hand tightly as we walked to Jessie's room. We walked in slowly and quietly. The only sound in his room was his heart monitor. We walked next to his bed. I nudged her with my elbow lightly, not wanting to be the first one to talk. He looked peacefull as he slept, not moving, except the rise and fall of his chest.
"you're an idiot you know that.." Natalie said slowly, starting to cry again.
    "be nice.." I whispered.
"he snuck out, drank, and got into a car with a drunk driver... he's an idiot." Natalie said letting go of my hand.. she started pacing around the room slowly, trying to control herself.
"I told you not to go.." I whispered slowly, starring at his scratched up face.
"Leslie.." Natalie said softly, but some what shocked. I looked up at her.
"you're.... crying." She said amazed. I closed my eyes, and more tears fell. I just nodded slowly.
"Natalie.." I said slowly, starring at Jessie.
"hmm." She mumbled, walking over to the other side of his bed.
"I agree.. He is an idiot.." I sighed softly. She lightly chuckled. After a couple more minutes, we left and his parents went in. I stared off into space thinking about him, and what's going to happen now. I felt Natalie starring at me so I looked over at her and she smiled.
"I actually like you.." She confirmed with a nod.
"oh.. thank you.." I said slowly, confused.
"well, I didn't like his ex, Lydia. She just annoyed me.. but you... you I like." she smiled. I laughed.
"thanks. That means a lot." I smiled back. She began asking me questions about Jessie and I, which made me feel worse about the situation, but I didn't mind it much.
"ready to go?" Jamie asked walking over to me and Natalie.
"want a ride home?" I asked Natalie.
"nah, I'm gunna stay with my family, I'll tell you if anything exciting happens.." She smiled. I nodded, hugged her then said bye to Jessie's family. Then walked out with Jamie, she drove and dropped me off at my house. When I walked in, my parents just asked how the test today went and if Jessie was ok. I didn't tell them that he was drunk, or that Johnny was drunk. They'd find that out by reading the paper or watching the news, I didn't want to be the one to tell them. I went up to my room and tried my hardest to study for tomorrows midterm, but all the emotions I bottled up at the hospital came pouring out of me like Niagara Falls. After a couple of minutes I heard my mother screaming for me downstairs. I quickly ran down and looked at her confused.
"seriously." she screamed. I didn't answer her, although I had a slight idea of what she was talking about.
"dating a DRUNK! hell no. No." She said shaking her head firmly.
"you saw what happened to your brother.. do you want to be involved with a man like that?" she screamed. I sighed annoyed, and looked at my dad for help. He knew I was drunk that night when Jessie carried me in at 1 in the morning. He sighed and looked up at mom.
