It is terrifying to think that one day you will trust somebody enough to let them see you naked. You will undress and remind them that you’ve stretch marks and birth marks and scars from having chicken pox when you were little and scars from all of the other things now. You will blush thousands of shades of red, painting yourself as a rose losing its petals. And that person - that person will take it all in. And I wonder if they will reassure you. But mostly, I wonder if they will even see anything worth reassuring you about. I hope they see each freckle on your back as if it’s a star and you are the whole universe to them

So there's this guy.
His voice gets softer when he talks to me.
He holds the door open for me while while we're having a conversation.
When I'm in the way, he gently puts his hands on my waist so he can pass.
We have a ton of inside jokes and he always gives me such wide grins.
He winks at me when he passes me in the corridor.
When I start telling him a story, he gives me his undivided attention.
Sounds great, doesn't it? There's just one problem.
He's like that with all the other girls, too. ~

i don't know
his favorite color
or if he likes honey with his tea
or if he even likes tea
i don't know what song he listens to when he's upset
and i don't know what his favorite cereal is
but i do know
his smile is amazing
and his laugh is really loud but it's kind of like music to me
and his clothes are really simple but they look really cute on him
and he wears glasses sometimes and he looks good with or without them
and i really wish
i knew all these things
so i know what song to play for him when he's upset
and if he wants tea i wanna know if i should put honey in it
(if he likes tea)
and what type of cereal he wants when he wants some
but i'll never know
because i'm the shy girl across the room
who hides behind her hair and the sleeves of her hoodies
and glances at him when she thinks he's not looking
and he never is

today in history class this kid said something about how women belong in the kitchen and my teacher freaked out and he made all the girls in the class write down “at 1:04pm on wednesday november 7th 2012, nick has been blacklisted” and now we’re not allowed to talk to the kid until he comes into class with the 17 apology letters that he’s being forced to write to every girl in the class

STORY TIME
so in my art class there's this boy (this isn't going where you think it's going, i promise) and he's really quiet and shy and a few weeks ago after school i was sitting at the back of the class sketching and he was painting at the front. then one of the popular guys who's kind of a "bad boy" walks in and walks right up to him, puts his hand on his shoulder and asks, "hey, whatcha painting?" and the other guy showed him and the popular boy was like, "awh, that's amazing!" and the other guy just BLUSHES and then the popular guy ruffled his hair. then he noticed i was there and gave a kinda awkward little wave but he sat down in front of him and watched him paint for the next hour and a half and they were both smiling so much and i think i accidentally witnessed a highschool au fanfiction occuring at my school oh god its the bad boy and the quiet arty guy i think they're in love and i still can't think properly help

Do you ever, all of a sudden, get this overwhelming wave of self hatred? Like suddenly you hate your body, every inch, your face, your voice, your smile, your laugh, your personality.. you just want to disappear because you can’t stand to be yourself.

Doesn't mean you suffer from bipolar disorder.
Just because you get nervous before a big test
Doesn't mean you have anxiety.
Just because you're upset that someone died
Doesn't mean you have any form of depression.
Just because you're watching your weight a little more than you did five years ago
Doesn't mean you're becoming anorexic.
People these days seem to want to have mental disorders.
Mental disorders aren't cute or fun. They are legitimate illnesses that people actually struggle with everyday.

The fear of tampons that exists in teenage boys is literally one of the
funniest things I've ever seen. They act like it's a nuclear missle. Like, calm down, bro. It's just a compressd cotton ball. I swear to God, if you ever want a teenage boy to leave you alone just pull out a tampon and throw it in his direction and he will run as far away as possible. It's hilarious.
