I hate how people blame Barbie for the self esteem issues of some girls. I played with Barbie's my whole childhood and never once was I like, "Hey, Barbie is so pretty. I wish I looked like her. Time to go to extreme measures to look like a FREAKING DOLL."
Person: *Says something really unclear* Me: What? Person: *Says it again even more unclear* Me: Wait, what? Person: *Repeats themselves again* Me: *Fake laughs because I have no idea what they just said* Person: Yes or no? Me: ...Say the question again...
In my bedroom at night. Me: ~is peacefully playing on my phone in my bed~ Me: ~hears rustling outside of my closed door~ Me: Uh....what's that....?! Zombie: ~bursts through door with giant axe~ Me: AHHHHHH!!! OH MY GOD WTF AHHH!!! Me: Oh no wait, you're not my mom!! Haha, whew i was scared there for a second!! Imagine if you were my mom and she saw me playing on my phone this late! Hahahah sorry about that!
so yesterday i was babysitting five kids under the age of nine (i know, i know, i'm practically jesus. shhh.) and one of them was an 8 year old boy called Corben. basically, he developed a huge crush on me after i told him i liked star trek and dragons, and he kept hitting on me the entire time and it was hilarious and also adorable. alana (his six year old sister): oh wow, you're so good at lego. you're magical. corben: yeah, lizzy's so magical that she makes people fall in love with her and wish that they were older so that tHEY COULD MARRY HER FOREVER alana: CORBEN THAT IS DISGUSTING, I AM DISGUSTED WITH YOU. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ corben: when we get married can we have a cat? i like cats. me: what alana: corben i'm never talking to you again ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ corben: lizzy, do you like cocoa pops? me: yeah, but-- corben: i'll get you three bowls. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ me: okay, goodnight you guys. corben: mum usually gives us a cuddle before we go to sleep. alana: no she doesn-- corben: shHHhHhHH. me: no. corben: not even a little cuddle? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ me: why are you out of bed? corben: do you want to read my book about dragons me: no, go back to bed corben: i'll read it to you if you want
Honestly,, some of the sexiest things about a guy is the way his voice sounds when he’s tired, the smirk of satisfactory he gets on his face when he knows he’s done something good, and the protective instincts he has when it comes to his girl.
once everyone leaves, you think that everyone comes into your life just to leave. you. so you push everyone out and don't let anyone else in. it's like, once you've been hurt, you're so scared of becoming attached.
Me: It's late, I should go to bed. Him: Wait. Me: What? Him: Just... just stay on the phone for a few more minutes. I finally have you back. I love the sound of your voice even if you're so far away. I need you and I love you and just please don't go just yet.
All America jokes aside, the 4th of July really is my favorite holiday. Why? It isn't because I get to hang out at the lake. It isn't because I get to watch fireworks. It's not because I get to see my aunt get competely wasted. It's not because underaged drinking is suddenly acceptable. The reason I love the 4th of July is because of what it represents. It represents us gaining freedom. It represents those who help us protect our freedom. The people currently serving in the military and have served in the military to help us keep our freedom. Those who have died so that we have freedom. I'd like to thank my dad for having served in the military. I'd like to thank my mom for having seved. I'd like to thank my Aunt DeeAnn for having served. I'd like to thank her husband Steve for currently surving. I'd like to thank my Uncle Danny for having served. I'd like to thank my Grandpa on my mom's side for serving. I'd like to thank my dad's dad (my grandfather who I never knew) for serving. I'd like to thank my Grandpa Jim (my dad's stepfather) for serving. I'd like to thank Matt for having served. I'd like to thank Rocky for serving. I'd like to thank my 5th grade math teacher's son for giving his life so that we remain free. Please, take a moment to thank those who are currently suring and who have served.
