Yes, but it also gets annoying. I don't see Nazi_Of_Grammar's innocence when they're trying to annoy people for fun. I am such a grammar nut as well, but it does get rather annoying when people are trying to leave heartfelt comments or something, and all you see are replies full of corrections. So yes, proper grammar is definitely needed in society, but not like this.

Just wanted to say, my life is terrible. All my friends are fake, I get called fat everyday, by my family and my 'friends', and I get bullied a lot, in reality and online.
I don't want to deal with a person correcting my grammar, while I actually feel a lot better talking to my Internet friends, and scrolling through funny quotes on the 'Top Today' page.
