    Maybe, just maybe,
    it's time to stop looking
    for the problem with the
    person who took their own
life, and try to find the problem
    with the system—
    because no one kills themself
    without a little push.

Friendly reminder that next Friday is March 1st.
March 1st is self-harm awareness day, so I'm asking you all if you'd be able to wear something, anything orange that day.
You could also write 'love' or draw a butterfly on your arm, anything to show support and raise awareness.
You're all lovely people and self-harm is such an important issue so I'm sure you all wouldn't mind.
It can be anything, clothes, jewlerry, even nail polish.
    Thank you. :)

Let me tell you a story about 2 little girls.
    One has b-r-e-a-s-t cancer,One doesn't.
So, one day, both girls were at Walmart.
    Looking at Barbies.
And the girl with B-r-e-a-s-t cancer saw the Barbie that was made for
    B-r-e-a-s-t Cancer Awareness.
The little girl who didn't have the disease looked at the girl and Barbie.
She smiled at them and grabbed a B-r-e-a-s-t Cancer Barbie herself.
When she walked back to her mom, her mom was puzzled.
"Sweetie, why did you get that barbie? Not the other ones?"
And the little girl smiled, set the Barbie in the cart, and said:
    "Because. This one is perfect."

    On March the 1st, 2O13
On the first of March, self harm day (formally known as Self Injury Awareness Day) is an annual awareness event/camapaign on Friday March 1st. And in the weeks leading up to it, some people choose to be more open about their own self harm and awareness organizations make special efforts to raise awareness about self harm/self injury. Some people wear an orange ribbon, write "LOVE" on their arms, draw a butterfly on their wrists in awareness of the "Butterfly Project" wristband or beaded bracelet to encourage awareness of self harm. The goal of the people who observe SIAD is to break down the common stereotypes surrounding self harm and to educate medical pro's about the condition.
So, show your support.. Wear something orange, draw a butterfly on your wrist(s) & write LOVE on your arms to show your support!
