I don't get why people think it's such a bad thing that she got to feel special, and happy before she passed away. Like, she got what she wanted, why can't we just all be happy for that? It's not that people don't care about the other people suffering but Talia inspired so many people and taught them alot. And they grew to care about her and it opened their eyes more to cancer and what it can do to someone who may seem so happy and bubbly on the outside.

I agree with you completely but shes done stuff that most people would not do. She inspired tons of girls by teaching them to gain confidence with makeup tutorials and she showed cancer didn't stop her from achieving her dreams. On your side though, I agree with you we should be recognizing the rest of the people who are battling cancer.

I know other people who lost their battle to cancer. They also did stuff that "most people would not do" my aunt created an organization to raise money for cancer research. She also "showed cancer didn't stop her from achieving er dreams" of helping others with their illness. She doesn't have any quotes about her. All I'm saying is talia wasn't the only one to inspire people

It's not that no one cares.. It's just that she was famous so more people knew about her.

It's impossible to give special attention to every single person who has cancer or every single child who is dying. I don't see why it's such a bad thing that one lucky girl got to feel special before she passed away. It's not like it really matters anyway.

I agree, there are so many people that have to live with cancer and there are so many people that die from it, yeah it's good that they are showing their respect but they're acting like they all know her, yes it's sad but you didn't know her and she's not the only one going through this

I think it's because she's more wellknown than other people with cancer, so she's going to get more attention. I think she isn't more special, or important, she just connected with YouTube viewers and therefore she is more famous. Unfortunately other people with cancer don't get as much sympathy :/

the reason i cried for Talia was because of the people she touched. My sister, really, is the reason. Erin looked up to Talia like an older sister or her mother. She would watch Talias videos with that devilish glint in her eyes that she gets when she sees somebody do something that she wants to try, and will try even if she gets hurt in the process. SHe forced me to watch Talias videos with her always saying, "WOw, this is so cool," or "Can i try this Bree?" when she was on ellen she was incredibly inspired by talia stating "A little fishing told me to just keep swimming," it amazed me when erin didn't convert into a finding nemo fan because Talia influenced erin THAT much. I thank Talia for, in a sense, being there for my little sister. I wish for her to rest in peace without people questioning why she should get sympathy. THe reason you are hearing about her is because she is famous. tons of people die everyday, so how are they all supposed to become famous? I dont know, but if you find a way tell me. until then i will mourn for Talia and i wont mind people doing it publicly

I know that but in her interview with Ellen, Ellen said "Despite what the docters say, despite the cancer how do you stay so positive" She answered "Well a little fishy told me to just keep swimming". Talia lived by this phrase everyday and untill you have watched all her videos on Youtube and follwed her on Facebook and Twitter I dont think you will know the connection so many people had with her and will always have with her. She was a romodel to so many young girls with cancer and as well with the ones without.

since she was known, she's gonna get attention. Everyone dies, but she was really strong and that sent a message to a lot of people.

Because people actually had a connection with Talia, and not everyone has a connection to EVERYONE that dies.

All I'm saying is that I don't think it's necessary. So many people die of cancer and people have connections with them but still no one ever knows them.

This is completely different.
Talia inspired a lot of people on youtube. Amanda Todd wasn't, she gets a lot of negative attention.
