notices that every single page,
every single piece of history,
is missing from the year 1990-1999.
He looks at other students
text books, noticing the same
thing. He confronts his teacher
about it. His teacher turns slowly
to him, with a single tear rolling
down his cheek, and whispers,
"Only 90s kids remember
the 90s."
