people always stereo type my dog he s a doberman and purty big and evrybody is like does he bite... then they re like we'll never get one because tey arent freindly arounbd kids.... give me a break my dogs loves us kids i have a lil bro who is 4 and rides around on him they're best buds

I had a pitbull that people were always scared of, but he was the sweetest dog ever and well trained. I hate how people just assume. He would only attack if you hurt me or my siblings first.

I love this. It's the same for my dog. She's an Akita, and they are kind of known for aggression, but she's a sweetheart. Unless I don't like you. Then you better run, and you better run FAST.

Lol, people are nice to me based on the fact that I have a pitbull who could potentially hurt them if they are mean, but honestly, my dogs a wimp, he could never hurt anyone even if he tried

My dog could hurt someone, and has, unfortunately. She bit my little cousin because my cousin tried to take food out of her mouth. But I think that's the only problem we've ever had with her. She could hurt someone in a heartbeat if she saw they were trying to hurt us. Other than that, she's a total wimp.

Same with my dog, if someone were to hurt me im sure he could at least TRY to hurt them, but hes really really small for a pitbull, he was the runt and the people didnt want him so they sent him to the shelter. He has never been around children, though, so I dont know if he would try to bite them or not, but any dog would bite if someone were to try to take their food, its not just pitbulls. And if you tried to take my food I would DEFINATELY try to bite yor fingers off lmao

Same thing with my dog. Everybody's always scared of her, but we trained her to be more hostile to people she isn't used to because people sometimes walk into our yard at night (we got her as a gaurd dog too). But she's the biggest teddy bear to me, even when I 'wrestle' with her. She hasn't ever even bit me in the 4 years we've had her. People are always saying to me "Ew, pitbulls and boxers should all be put down and illegal to own." -.-

When I play with my pitbull he "bites" me, but only in a playful way, and people always tell me "are you crazy? That thing has a lock jaw, he could rip your hand off" like yeah, im sure he COULD, but that doesnt mean he is ever going to. And a lot of people have told me that they should all be put down too. Its really sad that people can be so stereotypical

Ugh I hate that too! I have a sweet and nice pit bull and i m not allowed to walk her at the park cuz people get scared. And the news said that the other day a pit bull killed a little kid. All breeds of dogs have killed children before but they only show the pitbulls!

That's actually funny but relate-able. People assume just because I have a Labrador that he's gonna be nice and sweet and fun to pet. They never believe me when I say he is highly aggressive and will attack, so then momma's get mad at me if he snaps at their little kid when we walk. Like please, I TOLD you he isn't a nice dog.

hahaha yeah or when the mail man looks like hes seen a ghost. all those other small little purse dog things are sooo annoying. pitbulls are loyal and kind if u teach them right. in the wrong hands ANYTHING can become a weapon not just a dog or a gun.

Yeah. I love my pitbull. I have a black lab too, and everyone thinks shes the best dog ever, but I honestly like my pitbull more, and I have been told multiple times that if he hurts anyone, its my problem, not my parents. They dont understand that he is legit scared of butterflies, he would never hurt anyone.
