Actually, you pretty much can. This year somebody created a 3D printer allowing you to print pictures off of your computer. It costs tens of thousands of dollars, but I predict like the computers, that the 3D printer will soon become a household item. You can print the food, and it will come out plastic, as the printer seals pieces of plastic together creating a 3D item straight from your computer.
