Chapter 7
"Erghhh, Lexi that's too formal for a party like
this!" Amanda giggled while going through my closet.
I wore a flowy purple gown that went down to my toes.
"I guess so." I said softly while trying to hide a
smile.
We spent about the next hour picking an outfit, and we finally
made a decision.
Amanda walked out of my bathroom in a cute pink and white floral
sleeveless top with black shorts and hot pink wedges.
"Gorgeous my darling." I said in a deep, low voice.
She widened her eyes while smiling, "Right back at you my
darling."
I wore a light salmon pink frill tank top with blue shorts and
red bowed ballerina flats.
"Hey Lex, why are you wearing so much bracelets?" she
asked while applying mascara.
I was wearing a set of pink and gold bangles, to cover my
cuts.
I added accesories as I lied through my clenched smile.
"Oh, just wanted to be extra fancy tonight."
Amanda nodded as she did smokey eye on me, and I tied my wavy
hair into a high ponytail.
I applied frosted violet lipstick as I puckered my lips.
I grabbed my clutch purse as we went downstairs.

We decided to invite Hajeah and Stacey last minute, and they said
they would meet us there.
I just don't like getting ready with them for stuff, because
they are just so judgemental when it comes to outfits, which
caused me to cut once or twice.
Just when I was about to touch the doorknob, I heard a voice as I
had a mini heart attack.
"Where are you girls going?" my dad asked strangely as
he saw my freak attack dance.
"Oh, we're going... to.. umm.."
I stalled, I wasn't very good at lying.
"We're going to this convention thing for choir at
school, we're thinking about joining."
Amanda said confidently, trying to cover up my lame attempt of an
excuse.
"Oh, alright. Be back before 11!" he said while leaving
the room.
I sighed of relief. "Thanks Amanda."
She grinned while applying lipgloss. "What would you do
without me?"
We decided to walk there, since we didn't have a ride.
It was agonizing for Amanda, since she was wearing wedges.
After several minutes, we saw the house that was blasting music
and lights flashing inside.
"I love discos!" Amanda squealed as we knocked on the
door.
There was a couple making out on the front lawn.
"Classy." I muttered as I looked away in disgust.
Some drunk guy let us in, while he slapped my butt.
So I slapped his face.
We made our way through the sweaty, drunk crowd and found a couch
to sit on.
"Oh my gosh, there's Josh!" Amanda gasped as she
fanned herself.
Amanda has liked him ever since he let her borrow a pencil on the
first day of school.
"I'm gonna talk to him. YOLO!" she yelled as
she walked up to him.
Great, and now I was alone.
Suddenly, some disgusting freak falls onto me, spilling his drink
onto my shirt.
"Get off me you b/stard!" I yelled as I pushed him
off.
I gasped as I saw who it is.
