Chapter 23

I had sent him a quick text, and he said he would come over right away.
I was glad I could see him.
Maybe I would finally get him back.

We talked the whole night.
He told me he had broken up with Eleanor.
Yup, I was talking about Louis.
I still had feelings for him.
My ultra sound date came around,
and it was finally the 31^st of October.
I invited Harry to the ultrasound; I haven’t seen him since the day I kicked him out.
I stayed home and did the usual, just lie around and watch TV.
I dropped out of school, and I quit my job.
Liam had been giving me money each week.
I still hadn’t talked to my parents in soon to be half a year.
They couldn’t ignore me forever, right?
I got ready because it was almost time to leave.
I put on a black tank top, and an orange sweater.
I put on some loose jeans, and a pair of brown Uggs.
I had started shopping for clothes at the maternity store, and I got lots of dirty looks for my age.
I hopped in my piece of crap car, and drove to the doctor’s office.
Harry was in the lobby waiting for me.
We made eye contact, but he didn’t say a thing.
I’m still surprised he showed up.
We walked in to the office, as my name was being called.
I did the usual, and laid down on the bed for the ultrasound.
I lifted up my shirt, as he put the cold gel on my stomach.
Harry sat on the other side of the room, staring at the ground.
The doctor started scanning around, but his mouth dropped after a few minutes.
“Let me just go get somebody.” He said leaving the room.
Harry gave me a confused look and I just shrugged.
An older lady came in to the room moments later, followed by Dr. Learner.
She smiled at me, and looked at the screen where the baby was supposed to be.
Her smile turned into a frown, and she nodded her head towards Dr. Learner.
What was going on?
She sat down in the chair next to me, and held my hand.
I lifted my body up so I was lying down anymore.
“I’m so sorry honey; your baby didn’t make it.” She told me.
There goes the only thing I really had left.
