I Love to Hate You
Chapter 8
"Zayn, people are going to be here any minute! Get out here!" I yelled, and he arrived in the kitchen moments later wearing jeans and a tshirt.
"I still don't understand why we're doing this." he said.
"It's a house party! You just moved in, it will be fun!" I said, grabbing his shoulders and convincing him.
"Fine. But we forgot food." he pointed out. Crap. How could I forget food?
"Okay, you stay here, I'll go get pizza or something." I said, walking out of the apartment and driving to the local pizzeria. 
I returned an hour later with six pizzas, four bottles of soda, and two bags of chips. I knocked on the door, which was hard to do with my hands full. 
"Here, let me help you." said a guy's voice, but I couldn't see who it was with the pizza boxes blocking my view. 
"Thanks." I said, as he took a few boxes. I was then able to see who it was, and I immediately regretted accepting his help. It was Liam. 
"No problem." he said, holding the door open for me. I walked in and set the food on the counter then turned to Liam. 
"So, Zayn invited you? I didn't know you two were close." he said, suprised. 
"Actually, I live here." I said, an edge in my voice. 
"That's funny." he said, not laughing. 
"I'm not joking. I've been looking for a roommate, and when Zayn dropped by looking for a place, he decided this would do. So we're roommates now." I said, my voice serious. 
"Oh. He didn't tell me." he said, looking even more suprised, if not shocked. 
"Yeah, well..." I said, trailing off and walking away. For some reason, he was annoying me today more than usual. I've decided not to forgive him yet. I was crazy to think I might have feelings for him. 
"Let's play truth or dare!" Niall shouted, and I walked into the living room, where Zayn and his friends were spread out on the carpet. 
"Okay, I'm in." I said, taking a seat next to Harry. 
"Okay, Carly, truth or dare?" Liam asked me. 
"Hmm.. truth." I said, choosing the easier of the two. 
"Tell me why you hate me." he said. 
"Liam, no. You know why I hate you." I replied. 
"No I don't." he said. 
"Yeah, I've always kind of wondered." Louis said, jumping in. 
"Guys, stop. Really." I said. But they didn't. 
"It can't be that bad, can it?" Zayn asked. 
"Seriously, please stop." I said, on the verge of crying. 
"Guys, stop." Harry said, realizing I was upset. 
"No Harry. Stay out of it. Carly, why do you hate me?" Liam asked, not ready to back down. 
"I-I..." I couldn't finish the sentence. I was NOT about to explain why I hated Liam Payne in front of all his friends, and some people I didn't even know. 
"She doesn't even have a good reason." Liam said. I was so upset and angry right now, I just didn't know what to do. 
"You're such an a$$hole Liam. Who talks and flirts with a girl for an entire summer, only to blow her off and make fun of her for the rest of her high school years?" I asked, the truth slipping out. 
People gasped, and seemed shocked that Liam would do something like that. 
"You completely blew me off after you told me you had feelings for me. You made me feel special, because I wasn't the prettiest girl or the funniest person. But Liam Payne wanted me. The popular runner liked me. Or at least I thought he did." I said, tears falling by now. 
Liam just stared at me, his eyes apologetic. 
"There you go. That's why I hate you. And there's so many more reasons." I said, storming out of the room.
