Carson grinned and he
hugged the kid. ''Ava that isn-'' I ignored
what Emilee was saying, I just looked at Carson. Was it bad
that I felt my heart breaking, like the first
time?
''Hey little man,'' Carson said, picking up the
little boy. ''Who are you here with?'' he
asked.
He furrowed his eyebrows, ''With mummy, we came
together, remember?''
''Zach, mate, you're getting me confused with your
dad. Your dad doesn't like it, y'know.''
''But you're my dad,'' the little boy-Zach
said.
Carson pointed to a man and girl, ''No, that's your
dad.''
Zach giggled, ''Woops.''
''Hey Carson,'' the woman holding hands with
the guy chirped. ''What are you doing Zach? We told you
not to run off,'' she said sternly.
''Sorry mummy.'' The man and Carson almost
looked identical. They had the same brown hair and brown
eyes.
''Who's kid is that?'' I hissed to
Emilee.
''Lucy's and that guys, his name is
Brad.''
''I thought Lucy was pregnant with Carson's
kid.''
''No, Carson demanded for a DNA test. Turns out even
Lucy didn't know if it was his kid or not, Lucy and Brad
have been married for a couple of years now.''
''T-that's Lucy?'' I stuttered.
''Yep.'' Lucy had changed, a lot. Her blonde
hair was no longer blonde, she was a brunette, she didn't
wear as much make-up and honestly, she looked pretty.
''Why didn't anyone tell me?'' I murmured,
memories from the day I first spoke flooding my mind.
''Conner only told me yesterday, I had no idea
either.'' Everything began spinning... would I still be
with Carson right now if I hadn't been a b/tch that day
when I found out Lucy was pregnant? A million 'what
if's' were going through my mind.
''Avalaya? Is that you?'' Lucy asked.
''U-uh...''
''You know her?'' Brad asked.
''Well yes, her and Carson used to date. They were
pretty serious and I'd just like to apologise for ruining
your relationship with him. It was way out of line and you
probably hate me, I don't blame you. Just know that I
actually thought it was Carson's baby...'' her
voice trailed off.
Now it was Marco's turn to speak,
''Ava, you used to date
Carson?''
