Chapter 4
HARRY'S POV
I can;t believe it. The girl that i have to make fall in love
with me is Brynn. Could this day get any better? I walked over to
her as she was taking a seat at a table near ours.
"Long time no see." I said, sliding into the chair next
to her.
"Excuse me?" she asked, confusion on her face. She
almost looked as if she didn't recognize me. Was that
possible?
"Harry." I said, knowing she would remember.
"From the plane." I added, when it looked like she
still didn't know who I was.
"Oh, hi." she said, looking at the menu. She ordered an
iced latte. My kind of girl.
"So I was thinking maybe I could show you around?" I
questioned, hoping she would say yes. All the guys were staring
at me, wondering what was going on.
"I was thinking maybe I'd get this coffee to go."
she replied, sounding bored. A few girls came up to me and asked
for my autographs. Brynn didn't even notice, and I wondered
if she knew I was in the band One Direction. She must,
right?
"I'm trying here Brynn." I said, and this got her
attention.
"Trying to what?" she asked.
"Trying to get you to notice me." I
responded.
"Well, you came over here and introduced yourself, so that
worked." she said. Gosh, this was going to be harder than I
thought. Her latte came and she got out of her seat.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"Back to my house. I have to unpack. Call me sometime."
she said, slightly smiling.
"I can't. I don't have your number." I
replied.
"Oh, right. Well bye." she said, walking out of the
coffee shop. I wish I had more than four months to make her fall
in love with me. Because this was going to be hard.
BRYNN'S POV
I can't believe I ran into Harry today. I never expected to
see him again after the plane ride, which is why I didn't
give him my number. I didn't want him to think I was into
him. He seems like the kind of guy who can get any girl he wants,
and I don't just want to be treated like nothing again. Which
sucks, because I think I like Harry. What am I saying? I've
only known him for two days, and the most I know about him is
that he lives in England. And for some reason a lot of girls want
his autograph...
I went home and my dad asked how meeting the neighbors went. He
looked excited as he waited for my reaction, and I knew I
couldn't lie to him.
"Dad, I went for coffee. I was going to meet the neighbors,
but then I decided against it. Don't worry though, that's
where I'm going." I said, walking back out the door. I
closed it behind me and sighed. I walked across the street and
knocked on the door. A girl who looked my age, maybe a year
older, opened the large glass door.
"Hi, you must be the new neighbor. I'm Mia." she
said, extending her hand to shake mine.
"Hi Mia, I'm Brynn. I live across the street now."
I said, pointing to my house. She invited me in and we got to
talking. She was my age, and she was really down to earth. I met
the other neighbors too, one an older man who acted like a
grandfather. There was a middle-aged couple with a three year old
daughter, and a woman in her early twenties. I walked up to the
last driveway near my house, which led to the house right next to
mine. I saw my dad watching me through the window, so I
couldn't turn back now.
I rang the doorbell, and the door slowly opened. A blonde boy was
standing there, looking at me in disbelief.
"Harry, it's her!" he shouted. Wait. Harry?
Wasn't that?...
"Brynn. See boys, she can't stay away from me." he
said, winking at me.
"Actually, I can. It's just that my father forced me to
introduce myself to the neighbors since I don't know any of
them." I explained.
"Well, you and your father should join us for dinner."
Harry said, and I shook my head.
"No thanks." I said, trying to be polite.
"Come on. Why not?" he asked me.
"I've had enough Harry for one day." I said, and
walked back to my house.
I heard his friends go 'ohh!', as if they were shocked I
told him off like that.
They would get used to it. Because Harry was obviously a
player.
And pretty soon the only game he's gonna be playing is
mine.
