The Shane Game
Chapter 50
Shane ran his fingers through his hair to try to whisk as much beer out as he could. No one really knew what to do so Paige just cut the cake and gave it to everyone. Savannah discreetly made her way through the crowd, upstairs, and outside.
She sat on the front steps in the cool October air, hot tears burning her eyes. If Ava hadn’t done such a good job on her makeup she wouldn’t have tried so hard not to cry.
Shane looked around for Savannah and someone told him they saw her go outside. ‘Sh..t,’ Shane thought. ‘She left.’
He ran up from the basement, out the door and down the front steps. “Savannah!” he called as loud as he could. He hit someone and before he knew it he was tumbling down them, until he ended up on the ground. He heard a sniffle and then a giggle and looked up to see Savannah laughing at him.
“Savannah, I am so sorry,” he got up and sat next to her. She scooted away and when he moved closer to her and stood up and started walking. “Savannah, stop! Please!” He ran in front of her so that she couldn’t walk away.
“Ten dollars, Shane?? That’s why you were doing this? You know, you really had me going for a second and I truly believed you liked me. And you got me to like you too. I should’ve known that you know how to play The Shane Game better than I do so congratulations, you’re the winner,” tears built up in her eyes. “I guess ten dollars is your prize.”
“Blake is drunk as hell in there! The entire football team knows that I like you, Savannah. He told me if I hooked up with you tonight he’d give me ten dollars, but he was kidding! He didn’t know what he was doing when he gave me the money. I would’ve tried to kiss you anyway, because I truly like you, Savannah.”
“How do you expect me to believe you after everything you’ve done?” she let a tear fall.
“I risked my popularity for you, I lost some friends for you, I didn’t have s..x with some of the hottest girls in our school for you, I told you about the girls I accidentally hook up with for you, and all I’m asking for is a chance,” Shane said.
Savannah looked up at him and saw the sincerity in his eyes. She wanted to kiss him so bad but she knew she couldn’t do that without falling in love with him all over again. The game was over, but neither of them had won.
“Savannah, will you be my girlfriend?” Shane asked.
The End
Note: I'm honestly so sad that this is the end :( I'm sorry if everyone hates me that I ended it here and you don't know Savannah's response but I think that's for you to decide. Do you think she should forgive him or should she forget him? I have no clue if there will be a threequel for this or not. Truly, I want to write another one because I've had so much fun for the past two years writing this for all of you guys but at the same time it might be good to let go and start fresh. I do have some ideas of what I could do for the next story if I make one, but I'm not sure how it will turn out. Thanks again to all of you who read this and stuck by me when I didn't want to continue writing and for those who really helped me through the hard times I was having. Please comment and tell me what you think of this chapter and what you think I should do in the future. Suggestions would really be appreciated!!! As you can tell I suck at endings so I don't really know how to end my thank you note hahaa but I guess I just want to say I appreciate you all and if you read this whole paragraph I appreciate you even more. I never imagined some stupid story I wrote about the guy I had a crush on at the time would be really liked and I guess that's just a good feeling to know you guys liked it. You're truly the best. I love youuuu(: -Kylie
