Chapter 1: George
It all started on a warm summer's evening.Okay, so that's not Exactly how it started.It was the typical rainy Winter morning in London.It was edging slowly (And I mean slowly)towards Christmas Eve, And No one Could wait for it. Obviously. It was the 15th of December, Sapphire Shanc and Eve Evans were coming to my house to study for the Final Test Before Christmas. So,Yeah We were normal Teenagers. Or so we thought until That day.
"What's the answer to number five, in maths?" Saph said twisting the Pencil through her hair and re-positioning herself on my beanbag. "Um... Four to the power of 17...." I said a bit dazed, sitting at my desk. "Do you see something?" I added, standing up and heading towards my bedroom window. "No, Why?" Eve said, Looking up from her Maths book. She was sitting on my bed, with bits of cotton in her hair from an hour ago, (Long story) but then she soon joined me at the window. I wiped away the condensation, and looked out into the storm. There was a large dark swirling cloud heading our way. "Um, I think and Hope it's a toronado..." Eve said eating her hair, as she does when she's nervous. Saph stood up and Looked at us. "Guys You're being ridiculous. It's obviously a tornado..." But that's when all of our beliefs got popped, like a bubble.
The electricity went out and we were standing in pitch darkness. The wind was making that weird whooshing sound as it went through the walls and then -worst of all- A big bang blew up the wall. We were Terrified (Naturaly) and we ran down to check on my mum and brother, Mark. Mark was Sobbing into Mum and when Mum saw us she screamed: "RUN! GO, I WOULD EXPLAIN BUT IT'S TOO LATE!! IT'S ALL OF YOUR FAITHS! GO!"
I looked at Mark who was nodding into mum's chest and then I turned to Saph, who looked the same as me.
Like a Hamster that was thrown in the ocean. Confused.We both looked at Eve who, alike us, Looked confused. We did as we were told and bolted out the door after a quick hug from Mark and my Mum. "Where are we Going?!" Screamed Eve Dodging a Car door, that Had been Blown from it's hinges. I Looked around Frantically and Spotted the Place I dreaded every morning but now it seemed like heaven. "The school!!!" Me and Saph screamed together as a tree crashed in front of us. We Ran towards the School and Just Then Lightning Struck All of us. But we were fine. "Was That...?" Eve asked. "Lightning?" Saph Continued. "No. Let's go." I simply Refused to believe what might be going on.I opened the gym doors and ran in. I saw someone at the end of the hall and told Sapphire and Eve to follow me. I quietly ran up the benches and went to the top. I jumped up and caught the bars that hold up the lights shining at where the stage was. I turned around to see if Saph and Eve were following. Saph was in the middle of jumping, but Eve looked strangely at the bar. I forgot she wasn't good with heights....I Mouthed to Eve as Sapphire tried to keep hold of the old bar: 'Come On! You don't know who that man could be!' She Nodded and Took a step back then She jumped and At that Second another Man Came in the door. He had a bald head, His eyes were behind Black Sunglasses,That hid his eyes. He was Very Tall and Muscular,with coffee coloured skin.He crossed the Gym to his Twin and Said."We've Lost them." The other glanced at him."Ah, That's where you're wrong.We're no Fools,Edward.And Neither are they."
Curiosity coursed through my veins. How much did they know about us? Were they even talking about us? It was one among many questions a drift in my mind. Me and Eve shared a look and made a silent agreement.
As the men Moved across the hall they were Directly under us. Eve gestured ‘1,2,3!’ and We all dropped on them. They Looked up as we screamed the whole way down, but it was too late to stop us. We slammed down and They both made an unpleasant crunching sound, and There was no doubt we broke some bones. I jumped up and ran to the locked doors that led to the corridors.
It wouldn’t budge, and Eve and Sapphire Were struggling to keep -Lets call them Baldy and Squat- Baldy and Squat down. I kicked the door and felt my toes break to a million pieces. I felt something urging me to just aim my hand at it. It sounds Mad, NOW, But it seemed like the right choice at the time given. And Guess what? It wasn’t, you’d think after all the strange things that happened and are happening, I would be able to melt a lock. But in the end I had to get my bobby pin {Why didn’t I think of that at first?} and unlocked it.
“Guys! I got it!” I said spinning around to find, Sapphire held by Baldy and he held a (k)nife to her throat. Eve was in the same position with Squat. “Go, And your friends will (d)ie; You come with us, on the other hand, We’ll free them and Take you.”
