One time, my dad dropped me off at elementary school. For
the first time ever, I was there first. My kindergarten teacher
always had us wait outside in front of her classroom until the
first bell rang. Anyways, I was so happy to be the first one
there that I kept practicing the ways I would rub it into the
other kids faces when they arrived.
One hour passed
Two hours passed
Three hours passed
Eventually, the principle came and she looked at me with a truly
sad expression. "Honey," she said, "there's no
school today. It's Saturday." I drop my lunch-box and
backpack. My entire world has been turned upside down. Everything
has been a lie. My father is an idiot.
This tramatic experience has made me the person I am
today.
