It was
once a world I knew was happy
I used to love walking outside and feeling the sun upon my
face
I loved the feeling of the wind whipping my hair around in a
chocolate blur
I would melt when my bare feet hit the freshly cut grass,
But now….
All I ever hear is raindrops upon my roof.
The sun hasn’t graced my skin with its lips in months
And when the wind whips I am cold and shivering.

I wish I could say that I still feel happiness.
Maybe somewhere deep down I do-
But all I know now at the moment
Is a world full of gray.
