The 'overused' part is what annoys me most. If you find something funny on tumblr/facebook/twitter/whatever, okay! That's cool. This is a quote website, so post away! But if one you've already seen, or has been reposted a thousand times, for the love of everything, don't freaking post it.

So true, like people don't even make the effort anymore, it's just the same few people posting things from Tumblr all the time which aren't even funny anymore and didn't happen to them, I hate it

Yeah. I mean, I know complaining isn't going to fix anything, but it's just really annoying you know? And, as selfish as it sounds, I hate when I post a quote that I made and really thought about it gets less faves than something that somebody simply copy and pasted and used on an overused format. It's just... discouraging, really. And I really don't get when people post those stories of things that /didn't happen to them/.

Ikr. If something funny happens to you, and you want to tell people, fine. but it really irritates me (for some reason) when I see a funny story quote and it's tagged with "tumblr" :\

omg yes and when you know it's from tumblr but they don't tag it with "nmq" or "tumblr" or wherever they got it from.
