I fell in Love With Mickey Mouse
(literally)
Chapter #
51
Maybe, I
should have stayed home.
I
took the sunglasses haning from the mirror and started the
engine. A couple turns right, one left, and straight ahead. It
led me to a sign that read, 3 miles to Venice beach. How did I
end up going there? I wasn't sure, I didn't really think
about it. I just drove, following the imaginary guide set by my
subconscious mind. I arrived slowly, stood in the empty parking
lot and gazed at the dark ocean shadowed by the rising clouds.
Something special and peaceful about this place. Something,
different. Something, that didn't exist anywhere else or for
me anyways. Speaking of anwhere, my peace was rudely inturupted
by the violent vibrations from my phone. I took a hold of my
phone and without looking at the caller ID I threw it in the
passenger drawr. I looked at the ocean again, and happiliy opened
the door. The wind gave me a welcoming hug and I indeed felt
welcomed. My feet relieved as they felt the cool smooth sand. I
walked towards the ocean waves. The sand got cooler and
smoother.
"Man, what is this, phantom of the opera, if you like her
you got to tell her." From what it seemed, an upset
guy, was yelling at another guy. I couldn't see them, since
they weren't in my way. But, that wouldn't stop me from
eves dropping on a juicy conversation.
"What am I supposed to say, Alex, hey miss, you dont'
know me but I love you?" He sassed
Dang I wonder what that's about.
I walked a little slower, so I could hear what the other friend
had to say.
"No, Kai, just get to know her, be her friend, then tell
her." Alex explainned
"You don't get it Alex, I know her, I know everything
about her, the problem is, she doesn't know me." Kai
said.
What kind of a guy would like a girl that doesn't know
him? That's like level 88 fangirl.
"Well, I don't know what to tell you Kai." Alex
said.
"Forget it, I doubt she'll like me anyways." Kai
finished.
I wanted to walk up to him, to tell him that he should tell this
girl, but, it was probably none of my business.
I finally reached the shore. I put my bag aside, and sat down. My
sunglasses came off, and my curiousity kicked in. Poor, guy, it
must be tough liking someone who doesn't know you. I should
know, I've been liking Harry Styles for three years now. Kai,
that's an interesting name. It kind of sounds
Hawaiian.
"Kai" I whispered
I liked the sound of it, so I decided to practice a little
louder.
"Kai" I said
"Yes?" I heard a voice but it wasn't mine.
My heart sank to my stomach.
Why am I so stupid?
I stayed silent, hoping I had imagined it.
"Ay lady, if you got something to say, please say it quickly
I gotta go." I heard.
God, what, what, what just happened? How, or what am I supposed
to say to him? Hey, I was evesdropping on your conversation, and
I love your name. He's going to think I'm a freaking
weirdo. I knew, I should've stayed home. Nothing good comes
from me.
"Is your refrigerator running?" I tried
"It's running better than your brain." His
sarcastic tone was very offensive.
I know I sounded stupid, but that was just rude. I turned around
to face him.
"I don't like your name anyways." I blurted.
He quickly turned around and gave me a stare.
